  1. single-player game adventure with a strong narrative component…thats good news because we haven’t got next gen single player star wars games for years..

  2. I have a feeling this will be really short, which was probably why ea allowed respawn to make it

    1. Personally, the ONLY shred of hope I have comes from the fact that Disney is also trying to save face from their last disastrous movie – and they’ve taken action to repair that with the community – I think. TLJ may have been a good movie to some people, but it was a terrible Star Wars movie. The SWC panel gave me hope for the movie, but games are different. This is the only industry where companies can show one thing and sell another on day one – and get away with that false advertising by excusing it with, “game development is iterative.”

Hoping that Disney and EA execs got together and said “Let Respawn make the damn game that the Star Wars nerds want. We all need this to be a hit to get people into our parks and talking positive while standing around in line at rides in Galaxy’s Edge so they buy more merchandise like the game.” Very specific, but yeah, I’m hoping too.

      Just tempering expectations.

    1. Ya. EA has “learned their lesson”. You’re talking about a company with the same track record spanning 2 decades.

If you genuinely think they’ve “learned”…….. even anything at all, then you are part of the problem.

      1. 4 really. 3.5. EA has been doing the same thing since the late 80s and early 90s dating back to when they bought Origin and had conflicts with developers over copyrights and stuff.

  3. Not sure how many times people have to see the sickening greed of EA twist and turn through various shady garbage tactics to learn anything. Here’s hoping those same people buy this pile of garbage, and go on to inevitably regret it.

I’ve heard of “slow learners”, but this is just hilarious. People already giving them a pass because “EA said they won’t add loot boxes or post-release transactions after, so they obviously have learned.”

If there aren’t any boxes or transactions added, then they have merely found another way to gouge people. Want a trend pattern? Look at their history over the past 15 years, and see how they’ve “learned”.

To be so naive and downright stupid giving this company ANY credit whatsoever, is simply mind boggling. Ignorance, truly is bliss.

  4. Unofficial live stream of the game’s panel at SWC (the official stream on Twitch just went down):

  5. Where are yall gettign these rumnors they would show gameplay footage?

There is no gameplay footage. Anywhere. It was a cinematic pre-rendered trailer. It was in engine, not in game. That’s a huge difference. Pre-rendered looks nothing close to real-time.
