Electronic Arts has released the official single-player trailer for Battlefield 5. In Nordlys, players will resist German occupation in Norway, sabotage behind enemy lines as an unlikely English soldier in Under No Flag, fight for a home they’ve never seen in Tirailleur, and in The Last Tiger (available in December) join the crew of a Tiger I as they question why they fight.
This basically means that the game will launch with three single-player War Stories, and the fourth one will be added in December (presumably as a free DLC content).
Battlefield 5 is currently scheduled for a November 20th release and it will be interesting to see whether this single-player mode will be enough to win those that could not experience such a mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

haven’t played first battlefront reboot but sequel’s skirmish mode was fun for 10 minutes. maps were small, vehicles weren’t in skirmish mode and bots were stupid as hell. i was thinking something like battlefield 2’s skirmish mode.

More pretty, but half-hearted, 6 hour SP campaigns using social media trending topics as “inspiration” to con singleplayers into thinking we are getting high quality. Then when people dont really play their campaign they blame the market – only to be aggressively refuted by other games with great SP campaigns and high player engagement and sales.
Either pour proper investments and drive into a good campaign or go the COD cop-out route and remove them. Either way, call it what it is: campaigns that are minimally funded trash so taking the greedy route and not trying to twist thinking using carsalesmen tactics to blame the gaming market with “singleplayer is dying” which is 100% false.
