NVIDIA has shared a new video, showing 4 minutes of gameplay footage from the PC version of Resident Evil 2 Remake. Although the green team did not reveal the specs of the machine that was used to capture this footage, it did claim that the game was running in 4K and with 60fps.
Resident Evil 2’s gameplay has been enhanced to make zombie encounters even more frightening, the puzzle-solving more intricate, and coins and items to discover and use throughout your journey of survival.
Resident Evil 2 Remake will also be among the first games that will support NVIDIA’s RTX technology.
The game is currently planned for a January 2019 release.
Enjoy!

No RTX tech and 4K60fps huehuehuehue
People who think the RTX could do 4k/60 with Ray Tracing are just stupid or know nothing about it, just a bounch of stupid gamers that should stick to playing games.
yeah why not, just like YOU, everyone else is indeed stupid. …include your name as well, ’cause u aren’t alone…..LMAO
You’ve just proved my point.
SHUT UP TROLL.
says the TROLL himself ! lol….
Don’t feed him. Look what he did ? Retaliated back on you…
Forget about 4k/60…It can barely do 1080p/60 at this point! Check out the Tomb Raider performance….
It’s amazing it’s even running at all in realtime on the mainstream GPU, wasn’t possible until now.
Actually you would be surprised at how many idiots have hugely overpowered cards and 1080p tn monitors. People don’t make rational purchase decisions.
3D rendering and video editing are a thing. I’d rather have the added horsepower and avoid hiccups, than always hear those fans blaring.
Ray Tracing isn’t a “gimmick”, is where 3D gaming graphics are going, if you say it’s a gimmick then you say CGI is because it uses the same tech. How can something that accurately reproduces real word lighting, shadows and reflections be a gimmck? So many stupid people here that shouldn’t just commenting and just go back to playing games.
The real point is that all the business is made upon those kind of people. Sadly…
There is some confusion out there about ray tracing. It will only be implemented in small doses at first. Just a taste of what is possible with ray tracing. We are a couple of GPU generations away from 100% real time ray tracing as it stands now. People over-expected and now they are disappointed.
4K, as always, is a moving target and why it’s not widely adopted. We have all seen that the increased GPU performance made available with new generations of GPUs the more Developers squander those resources and probably will continue to do so.
Since we’re only getting partial ray tracing for certain rendering features, coupled with the fact that Turing has new specialized cores for accelerating it, is precisely why people expected it to perform decently, Ti GPUs have always been trying to push 4K gaming.
exactly… It’s going to be the 4352 CUDA cores pushing 4K and the Tensor cores and RT cores pushing raytracing… People don’t understand that. It’s almost like an APU, instead of a CPU/GPU combo it’s a GPU/Raytracing combo. That is the number 1 reason it is so expensive. The god damn Tensor cores alone push 110TeraFLOPS! People need to just get a grip and wait for the actual benchmarks. I have a strong suspicion that many people in this comment section are going to be looking pretty stupid very soon. And if I’m wrong I have no problem coming back here to face your “I told u
you so’s”…. I truly don’t think that will be the case though. ?
Hold on i think i should play this!
you’ll have to get in line brother…and the line is long at this point!
This is a treat. I doubt the RTX enhanced version will offer much difference in visual quality. I hope i’m proved wrong of course. 60 FPS is a massive bonus, just sad to see there’s no discernible difference in texture detail over the console versions. A quick side by side shows “platform parity” – hoping it looks crisper when the game launches. I’d love for my 1080Ti to chew this game up.
I’m buying a new truck soon and my first question to the dealer will be if it utilizes RTX tech. If not, I walk. I WALK.
(Slap roof of truck)
This bad boy will fit so many Rays in it, you can’t trace them all.
me: SOLD.
Is this gameplay video even showing the RTX implementation? It has the Nvidia logo all over it but I don’t see anything that couldn’t have been produced otherwise.
it’s not using it.

I just noticed they replaced the key quests with levers and door shutters….not sure what to think of this remake now. the game was 3 hrs with typewriters and keys, so what now an hour without them? the end of this demo usually takes a while to reach in the original game.
I have a feeling they’ve added lots of stuff to the remake. This is likely why they simplified the intro, to work out the pacing for the rest of the game. This, or it is simplified for the demo to make it a better floor show.
I thought I read a dev say’ “All the tradition puzzles are implemented in the RE 2 remake.”
according to the original play-through players unlock the door to the left of the computer and go through it, and then unlock the right door later on. after the first Licker encounter. according to the demo all of this was skipped.
Makes me wonder if this is an action remake to the original RE2.
No raytracing no buy.
I agree, for me it’s not if something will play at highest settings on 1080p but 1440p. 1080p looks blurry to me now :/
It looks fantastic, im looking forward to playing it.
Aww maan.. Five minutes ago I discovered they were making a remake and got happy. Started watching the gameplay video and got disappointed immediately.. no locked camera..
