This mod removes the Chromatic Aberration, Scanlines and Vignette effects from No Man’s Sky NEXT

Modder ‘Celestaux’ has released a must-have mod for No Man’s Sky that is compatible with its latest NEXT content update. This mod will remove the annoying Chromatic Aberration, Scanlines and Vignette effects from the game, resulting in crisper visuals.

Celestaux is currently offering four versions of his mod. The first one removes all the aforementioned effects. The next one removes Scanlines and Vignette but keeps Chromatic Aberration and the third one only removes Vignette. The last one removes both Chromatic Aberration and Scanlines but keeps Vignette.

In order to showcase the visual differences, the modder has also shared some comparison screenshots between the vanilla version of No Man’s Sky NEXT and the different versions of his mod. Those interested can download it from here.

Enjoy!

  1. The game is fundimentally the same though, resource grinding, even the missions have you grind for resources. Grind for fuel, grind for launch fuel, grind for mining laser fuel, grind for building bases. Nice update but just can’t play it anymore because it’s fundmentally the same and really nothing interesting on the planets or moons, you’re doing the same thing on every one.

    1. Its like “No matter how much bigger is the update”,No mans sky always remains the same(boring).Just add a battle royale mod to it and earn some Real sh*t Man.

    2. Yes, just like World of Warcraft ist always the same. Or Call of Duty… shooting, shooting, running, shooting. Or Fortnite. Or strategy games. Build a base, build an army, fight. Or roleplaying games. Push your stats, find better gear, kill monster and the main villain.

  2. Of course these were put in to sim 60s/70s sci-fis on CRT with RGB convergence issues and tunnel vision from old photos – and sure they are “cute” but after hours and hours of playing my EYES BURN OUT! For years, devs got hooked on splattering CA vomit on every damn game in existence trying to force “distorted and futuristic.” Even GTA V had it! All games should have these settings available in menus (especially CA) if they are going to be in them, so we can disable if we want – don’t care what the “devs intended” when people are CONSTANTLY staring at their displays which are essentially colored spotlights for 30+ hours!

    *deep breaths* oooosaaaaa
