Back in July 2017, Telltale Games announced that it’s been working on a second season for The Wolf Among Us. This second season was meant to hit stores in the latter half of 2018, however the team has just announced that the game has been delayed. As such, The Wolf Among Us 2 is now scheduled for a 2019 release.
According to the team, this delay comes as the result of a few fundamental changes that occurred at Telltale since it first announced the game last summer. Moreover, this extra time will allow the team not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special.
“Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you’ve consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work. We’re extremely enthusiastic about how the game is progressing so far, and we can’t wait to dig even deeper.”

Take your time, Telltale. Don’t let this game suck.
This. I have a huge backlog to get me through. I want quality out of this.
2018 the year of delayed games ….
This is the only Telltale game released next to The Walking Dead, and Sam And Max that actually is good. Everything they’ve done post The Wolf Among Us was absolute besides The Walking Dead games. I’d rather it be in the quality of those games, than those awful excuses that are the Game Of Thrones games.
Even their TWD series took a severe downturn in quality after Season 2. Michonne and Season 3 were underwhelming to put it mildly.
Damn I didn’t know about that, I was still waiting to play them since it was in my backlog. Thanks for the heads up man.
Season 3 has its moments so isn’t wholly without merit so I’d definitely still give it a one-time play-through as you already own it. Michonne was just a quick and dirty cash-grab spin-off from the main story so can be safely ignored.
Oh, and as it’s not yet been said by an article at this independent and free-thinking PC gaming site…
John ‘Totalbiscuit’ Bain RIP.
Alright I’ll give it a twirl then, I don’t have Michonne though so I will not bother with it and pretend it doesn’t exist like I do with the rest of their newer games!
It sucks that Total Biscuit is gone. I remember him from my Something Awful days before he even got famous, and after he got famous he did become a great voice for the PC gaming community and competitive gaming world.
He was only 4 years older than me, and it scares the hell out of me that a guy developed colon cancer around my age and was gone so quickly.
Better delayed now than inbetween episode 1 and 2 like the first season.
