As we’ve already reported, Dynasty Warriors 9 suffers from major performance issues on the PC (and according to reports the game under-performs on all platforms). Thankfully, it appears that KOEI Tecmo is currently investigating these PC performance issues.
The publisher has just released a new patch for the PS4 version and when fans asked whether the PC version would receive any performance patch, KOEI Tecmo replied that it is currently looking into the PC performance issues.
Still being looked into

Since Dynasty Warriors 9 is currently a performance mess on the PC, we’ll delay our PC Performance Analysis until KOEI Tecmo releases the first PC patch. Once this patch is out, and whether or not the game’s PC performance issues are fixed, we will re-test the game and publish our article.
Stay tuned for more!

Hmmmm, wouldn’t that be something that should be done BEFORE releasing the game? I know, I know….. I’m old fashioned….with wanting games that I bought (gladly this one isn’t on that list right now) to work and all….sorry, ok?
Then do the same thing with kingdom come deliverance…
The issues is already well known to everyone. It’s Koei/Tecmo. Business as usual for these clowns.
I swear the Koei Tecmo approach to quality assurance extends no further than ‘Does it boot on the office PC?’.
They need to investigate the single player only gameplay bug.
LOL! “Investigating” Honestly I feel TK doesn’t have a wide range of different spec PC’s to QA their own games leading to their lack luster releases. On top of their already misguided development direction.
“investigating”
AS IF THEY DIDN’T KNOW when they launched the game…
Why the hell didn’t they “investigate” those issues before launch?. Oh wait, they don’t give a damn about optimising their PC ports before launch, just like a myriad of other AAA devs/pubs out there these days.
I wish the majority of their port jobs would tank in sales, but there are some dedicated hardcore weebs out there that will lap just about anything up, no matter the quality.
I kid you not, there are a group of weebs out there on PC that believe that if they don’t buy bad port jobs, they feel “fear” that they won’t see another port job again. They lack the spine and order of being able to stand up against a company and their crappy practices.
“they don’t give a damn about optimising their PC ports”
To be honest, they don’t give a damn about optimizing their games at all, on all platforms, it’s basicaly unplayable on consoles, also add screen trearing to the mix.
Every publisher ho released a bad optimazed game should be sued for every units they sold
If the game priced at 60$ then 40$ is the punishment per units
Let me help you KoeiTecmo.
Step one: Look in mirror.
That’s it. Wasn’t that easy?
I think the big issue is that their engine is abysmal, regardless of platform. I recently got Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk for the PS4 only to realize that even with the subpar visuals, the game can rarely run at more than 30 FPS. Even their Nintendo games have horrible framerates.
They are basically the Japanese Telltale Games, if that even makes sense. They release games on as many platforms as possible only to be overwhelmed when they can barely run.
