Last week, we informed you about the official Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077 showing signs of activity. While nothing is set on stone yet, we believe that this will be the year of CD Projekt RED’s cyberpunk game. And according to GRYOnline, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive an E3 2018 trailer.
According to GRYOnline’s sources, CD Projekt RED will also show a playable demo behind closed doors at this year’s E3 event. This isn’t something as the Polish studio did the very same thing for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
It remains to be seen whether these rumours will come true. And to be honest, this makes perfect sense. E3 is the best place to showcase the game and a public trailer is almost a given at this point, especially after the resurrection of the game’s official Twitter account.

The Witcher 3 gameplay which turned out to be a vertical slice was shown behind closed doors in 2013, the game itself was released in 2015. So that makes CP2077 release in 2020 sound pretty reasonable.

Here we go again, the problem isnt that it takes a while the problem is tha the development of this game has been a mess and it has been rebooted multiple times over. It wasnt a nearly complete product like doom, that ended up canceled and redesigned. It was diffirent pre production prototypes made by a lot of diffirent people who kept changing positions, leaving the studio and did not even have an engine. You make it seem as if the game “takes alot of time” When the reallity is they didnt even have an engine to make this, nor a focused team to work on something consistent.
The game will have ideas and assets from too many diffirent people over the course of all of those years and the final result will be utterly inconsistent. So this “huge” game you thinking about, is not being made, they are making a smaller game with a smaller vision and chances are it wont be consistent considering what the development has been through.
We just cant have nice things.
What’s your problem with them? Did you try the STML mod? Do you still feel downgraded? Did you actually buy the game?

Who? A bunch of nobodies? By comparison, downgrade scandals are a big deal, even for CDPR with its undying defence league.
You misunderstood me. I am far from being a CDPR apologist. After TW3 downgrade and shifting release dates 2 times I’ll judge their product solely on its own merits and not on studio’s past achievements. After all I think the only great game CDPR have made is The Witcher (2007) and most folks that worked on it are long gone from the studio.
According to leaks from Glassdoor by ex-employees 2020 is the earliest the game might be released. I was only saying that my prediction that the game will probably release 2 years after gameplay reveal to journalists behind closed doors (just like it happened with the Witcher 3) is reasonable not the the release itself 7 years after a game anouncement. 7 years of development is as close to development hell as you can get in my opinion.

Accidentally all those Glassdoor reviews and leaks by supposed ex-CDPR employees paint a pretty bad picture as far as working environment and the way CDPR operates. If rumors about the engine having just been finalized and all work pre-2016 having been scrapped are true then CP2077 has pretty good chance of being a huge turd that can essentially break the studio.

Probably another vertical slice, followed by the backing up of said slice with “oh heavens, this game wouldn’t be made possible without current gen consoles, and totally not PC gaming, which got us to where we are today”.
If Xbone X can play CP 2077 with a locked, steady 30 FPS, that would be a 50%+ improvement over how the Xbone played TW3.
Hope they will do well. Game setting sounds cool, If they match Witcher 3 quest + side quests it will be epic already. But they have a lot of hype to live up to. But as is see from the comments already people are start trashing. So many years. I think we all knew this game is not going to be done before Witcher 3. The company was still very small after Witcher 2. It has grown a ways for now. All i want is Another epic world with Amazing stories in it. People who trash the game go buy yearly releases of Battlefield/Battlefront and Call of duty which is more expensive than Witcher 3 game of the Year edition.

There is no game my dude. The “game” was in pre production for many years, getting scrapped and rebooted people leaving the studio all the time and they dont even have an engine.
We have seen what the singleplayer portion of star citizen looks like. What have we seen from cyberpunk? Nothing.
Well there is only one thing to do wait see the response act accordingly.
My thinking process was little different actually about trashing. I mean lets give CD-Project Red a chance They haven’t messed up yet. Every time there has been massive improvements. I really like games that are coming from cheaper Slav European studios right now and i get more excited about them. Metro Exodus and Cyberpunk 2077 for example. I Really see that these smaller European studios are best in business right now. But There is End for every beginning I guess. They have not disappointed me yet so i am not worried. For example EA announces new game, they usually have good idea, Tons of Hype advertising, but i don’t remember when they actually delivered last time, Long long time ago in a Galaxy far far away. Now i’m sad because probably wont get good Star wars single player game for ages.
Let’s wait and see, let them figure this thing out. We have not even seen the game. People Expectation for this game is probably a Witcher 3 -> in another setting. That’s probably what they are aiming for also. But maybe cyberpunk will be something similar to Uncharted/Tomb rider series.
“Witcher 3 -> in another setting” is the lowest common denominator kind of expectation if you ask me. TW3 was the run of the mill open-world experience with a bunch of cut-scenes and too much fan service and relying on the source material for my liking.
To me remaking TW3 in cyberpunk setting is akin to failure in every possible way.
You have to consider that no one actually makes games for you but for millions of people in mind. It will be evolution of Withcer 3 because they have developed their own engine. It will have some similar aspects about it. I can guarantee you of that. But me i am a story freak, i would be all happy to get world full of well crafted stories type of game. Can i blame them if they make a different approach to a game and it still does amazingly well and is well recived. Well maybe it was not my cup of tea then. But i do like many different game types. As in your name you are IRREGULAR, maybye you should play games that millions of people avoid or has rated -> as pile of sh*t.

Well i have liked their games so far. I have not been disappointed, no shady monetization plans. epic single player experience that’s all i want. If that’s not what you are looking for there are tons and tons of games out there. You seem one of those gamers who are very picky about games, but hey we are paying customers kinda gives us some right to criticize but also gives you right to ignore the product.

RDR2 is anticipated, sure, but we’ll have to see how it ultimately ends up once they stop being so mum on its microtransactions.
As for Cyberpunk; the CDPR fanbase is rabidly anticipating it, your average gamer may-or-may-not know about it at this time, but other than, I don’t really see it qualifying as “one of the most anticipated games of all time.”
Lol, what? And even if they did say that, there isn’t a chance in hell they’re going to pass on microtransactions, not after GTAO’s ungodly success, the same reason there’s undoubtedly going to be an online mode in RDR2, no matter what; so they can sell microtransactions.
CDPR said a lot of things during The Witcher 3 development process many of which they didn’t deliver: E3 2014 level graphics, Redkit – extensive modding tool, VATS-like body parts damage system etc.
They are definitely not stupid to not benefit from microtransations either. It’s just good PR to publicly denounce them before the game is released.
They shot themselves in the foot with the downgrade and no proper modding tools in the past. I guess we’ll see when the game (if it ever) releases.

Hey i love the idea of a cyberpunk game made by cdproject because cyberpunk is my thing, but i would argue that the anticipation for this game has died ages ago. Now we just want to see something, ANYTHING from this game, to make sure it still exist and is a thing.
And according to Glassdoor a lof of employees that came to CDPR to work just for the reason of wanting to work on Cyberpunk 2077 have since left due to inhumane crunch-time spent working on the game they didn’t much care for (The Witcher 3).
Pretty excited. TW3 went down as one of the greatest RPG’s of all time. I hope CDPR will deliver again.

For me, this game is the only game to wait for and with wild expectations too. Sure it might not live to the the brand’s name, but that still doesn’t really matter for me. It might be the reason to upgrade the gtx980 too.
