Halo Wars 2 will support cross-play between Xbox One and PC

343 Industries has revealed two new features that will be coming to Halo Wars 2. According to the team, a new update will introduce Xbox Arena and cross-play between the Xbox One and the Windows 10 versions.

Xbox Arena will let players organize and conduct their own online tournaments in Halo Wars 2. Xbox Arena tournaments can be created or joined from either the Halo Wars 2 game hub or via an Xbox Club.

On the other hand, cross-play will allow Xbox One players to play with the PC gamers. 343 Industries has worked hard to deliver this feature and final testing indicates it’s ready for release. Therefore, this highly requested feature will be in the next Halo Wars 2 update.

343 Industries has been really supporting Halo Wars 2. Perhaps the biggest – and most crucial – update was the one that brought significant performance improvements to it. Halo Wars 2 initially suffered from performance issues, however the team was able to resolve them.

  1. Microsoft should stop this bulls*** games and bring a proper Halo game to PC. The folks at destiny realized their error and remedied it with the new Destiny 2

    1. Old thinking dies hard. The Publishers got used to thinking of the PC games market being in 3rd place but the revenue keeps increasing year after year and more and more Publishers are taking note of it and wanting some of those billions of dollars. PC games is now number 1 when compared to the MS consoles or Sony consoles individually. Collectively the console market is still bigger. imo just on what I’ve read a lot of the 35 billion dollars spent on PC games goes to microtransactions for games like League of legends which generated an incredible 1.7 billion dollars in revenue for Riot Games last year. That’s a lot of money for just one game.

I wonder how MS will address the advantage of M&K in a shooter. I would think this would be an issue with Xbox fans and I think that Halo is their number one game as well. MS can’t afford to make them angry.

        1. Other than it being a pitiful excuse for a front end. Only using it as I got a free Destiny 2 key with my 1080Ti FTW3. Otherwise a waste of space for me.

          1. Well if I am using Steam, I can read/write reviews, watch videos, read product information, have a look at screenshots, access community guides, watch others stream, stream and even install mods amongst other things. The turd also known as Blizzard App appears to do none of that.

  2. too bad halo wars 1 online is still split between Win$hit store and steam
why on earth do they care for HW2? it was garbage, and sold like garbage too
