  1. This game makes me want to vomit blood out of my pee hole, get over it. Sega will remove the game as it’s not properly coded.

        1. I really dig the artstyle a lot… That said the physics need work. Sonic feels very heavy… Maybe Mania spoiled me.

Fun fact, did you know that in classic Sonic games, if you roll into a ball then jump, you can’t control where you land, meaning you are committed to said jump. In Mania, when you roll into a ball then jump, you still have control where you land.

Sonic CD also had this feature. The Sonic 3&K Complete romhack had a mode called “Max Control” with the same exact properties. The updated Sonic ATS DX added this too along with the drop dash…

          I know a lot about Sonic games… don’t judge me…

          1. i really miss the adventure series type platforming
the “unleashed” formula is boring linear “platforming”

imo Sonic adventure was more fun than unleashed/colors
generations was good for the nostalgia factor, but Forces already looks recycled and dull

i wish indie developers had the balls to make a proper sonic adventure spiritual successor

          2. I know the Adventure games are flawed, but I still enjoyed them for what they were. I especially love Twinkle Park and Speed Highway from SA1 and City Escape and Final Rush from SA2.

I also get a kick out of Sonic Colors and especially Generations (I can speedrun through stages like mad in Generations). The boost games are more energetic and reaction based compared to the more methodical Adventure games.

Yeah… I’m pretty versed in every type of Sonic game thus far. I can fun in every type of Sonic gameplay. And barring that in mind, I find the level design in Forces very very dull and bland. Instead of building off of Generations, it feels like a regression… It doesn’t help that the PC version of Sonic Forces has Denuvo…

          3. Denuvo does nothing but excel piracy usage

i’m still awed how indifferent sega has been to all the Denovu debacle
they know it makes sales go lower yet they still cling to it

maybe they don’t give a damn about the PC market and hope to cash in on the console retail version of the game?

i know generations sold extremely well on 360 and PS3
            but Forces feels… lazy

but i stopping giving a f**k since Freedom planet (hopefully) comes in 2018
i enjoyed that demo more than i did playing through mania

            Sega stagnates, indies prosper
at least that’s the way i see it
it’s truely shameful that Sonic is dying… but like always
“to all things comes an end”

          4. This whole Denuvo pushing mostly comes from Sega of Europe, the UK division to be more precise.

Well, I’m not that pessimistic that Sonic would die. He didn’t die after 06, he sure as hell won’t die now.

And even if that would be the case, the blue blur left his legacy, with more inspired indies like Freedom Planet and Spark The Electric Jester continuing his legacy, each with its own spin.

And seeing this makes me even happier for games to look forward too. 🙂

          5. exactly, new flowers will bloom after the forest fire
death is but a natural phase of every franchise, though Sega obviously mis-managed, butchered the blue blur with terrible buggy games like Boom and lost world (and the infamous 06, if Sonic team had just ONE more year…)

he will retire happy knowing that his legacy will be remembered fondly.

          1. you have natural talent for sonic game
i’ed definitely prefer watching Sonic stuff on your channel

btw did you remember the power ups by heart or did you replay the demo a few times and memorized them?

          2. Practiced a bit before the demo… But most of my experience comes from playing Sonic 2 on mobile a lot and speedruning levels in Time Attack like crazy to get the “Beat the clock” achievement. :3

          3. Most of my channel is built on stylish beat em’ ups/spectacle fighters. It just so happens that people like my Sonic stuff too. And I got into Sonic games since Generations. :))

Now that’s a dilemma for me… Right now I’m getting back into DMC3.

          4. can i make a request? can ya make a complete playthrough of sonic advance 3
that’s the only advance game i never managed to beat 100%

and that game has a lot of creativity with different pair-ups
though i never managed to find all those damn chaos

          5. Well… I didn’t 100% Advance 3 either and can’t 100% that game for the life of me… Sorry.

I love Advance 3, the team up mechanic gives the game so much depth… there are some dud combos though, like Tails and Cream…

I did manage to 100% Mania on Steam with all achievements though. I even have a playthrough on Youtube with Knuckles where I get all the emeralds at the end of Chemical Plant Zone. 🙂

  2. This looks great but I bet SEGA will shut it down as usually happens with fan remakes. Hopefully they would just instead buy it from the developers as it looks really spot on visually.

    1. The pattern is often quite different with Sega. It will have something taken down… Only for it to be immediately put back up… At which point Sega pretends the problem is solved 😀

    2. Umm, in segas defense there are sites full of Sonic fan games, both Rom edits or standalone games and Sega has not done anything to take them down.

  3. Physics and animation needs a little more work, but it looks great and plays incredibly well! The soundtrack is also fantastic!
