NVIDIA Titan XP runs Project CARS 2 with more than 80fps on Ultra settings in 4K, new beautiful screenshots

Slightly Mad Studios has lifted the NDA for Project CARS 2, meaning that WMD2 member can now share their opinions, screenshots and videos from the game’s latest build. As such, NeoGAF‘s members ‘TheAdmiester’ and ‘Rayge’ have shared some really beautiful screenshots from it.

Rayge has also revealed how the game’s performs on his PC system (Intel  i7 6850K with an NVIDIA Titan XP graphics card). According to Rayge, Project CARS 2 runs with 120fps in 4K on Ultra settings when there are 8 cars on the track. On more demanding scenarios – like for example rain at night – the game runs with 80-90fps in 4K on Ultra settings.

From the above, it’s quite obvious that Project CARS 2 is way better optimized than its predecessor, despite the fact that it is more detailed and beautiful.

Project CARS 2 is currently planned for a September 22nd release.

Enjoy!

  1. Oh boy. I hope it’s a good race game for all PC gamers no matter what GPU they have this time around.

    1. 8 cars on screen at 120 fps is pretty decent… Forza 7 is a Xbox 1 game ported to PC… That might take almost a year for good performance like Horizon 3 did

      1. oh that’s right… Turn 10 was the ones who patched the game with the Multi thread DX12 performance.

        My mistake.

        1. Final fight between Forza Motorsport and Project Cars 2.
Steam vs Windows Store.. DirectX 11 vs DirectX 12…

          Project Cars 2
          – DirectX 11
          – Win32 + Windows 7
          – Steam

          Forza Motorsport 7
          – DirectX 12
          – UWP + Windows 10
          – Windows Store (Xbox Play Anywhere – cross buy, cross play)

          1. Maybe… maybe not. Forza Apex (demo of FM 6) was better optimized than Project Cars 1. But we will see
I can’t wait to see benchmarks of FM7 and PC2.

  2. That fat and ugly friend of mine who likes racing games alot(racing is his favorite genre) and boguht a MSI GTX 1080TI GAMING x a week ago for 920 euros because he wants to play all games with best graphics and perfomane possible will be very happy to hear this. We went together in the shop to buy it and while he way buying it he looked at me , smiled and said: ”See what you get wheny you have money”? A day later his mother phoned me and his other friends and she asked usi if we can convice him to retun it because he spent all of his money to buy it. He deiced to keep it. he also has i3 4370 and 8 gb ram so he will not have best perfomance anyway until he changhes them in the coming months.

      1. That right he dont have sense it seems because when he wants to buy something he wants to buy the best no matter what it is. 2 months ago he bought the best guitar for 1300 euros because as he told us he wants the best sound when he plays guitar. I also tryed to convice him to not buy such expensive because he dont realy need it sine he is playing it only for fun and he is not a profesional musican or something like that but he didnt hear me. Now he is searching for sometome to sell it so he can keep the gtx1080ti and have some money to go out with his friends. When even my 970 still run many games at max settings 4k 30 fps and evrything ar 1440p max settings 40+ fps there is no need to spent 920 euros on 1080ti just because you want the best. But he didnt listen. I told him that with 1080 and 1070 he will still run evrything 4k ultra settings even if it is not 60 fps all the time but no he wanted 1080ti because he wants best graphics and perfomance. I told him that in a year from now or even less nvidia will release a 400 or 500 euros card with better perfomance than 1080ti but he wanted the best that exists right now.

  3. Pcars sucked with amd and logitech wheels. I never truly appreciated the full, immersion/physics of the sim until I used a gtx 1080, and thrustmaster T500rs in 4k and HDR (creators edition). At LAST the sim works VERY well near default settings (for the wheel). The first game feels good, albiet it didnt scale very well across alot of lower end hardware. Maybe Pcars2 will improve upon that. Looking forward to trying this out.

      1. Yeah, you just made it even better…

        Now, i have to find $ 1,200 PLUS $ 500 in a storm drain :/
