Electronic Arts has announced that the open beta phase for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will begin on October 6th. This open beta phase will last until October 9th, and will allow gamers play across iconic planets and into the far reaches of space.
Going into more details, the game’s open beta will include Naboo: Theed in Galactic Assault, in which players can join Republic clone troopers and Separatist battle droids in a wild melee on the streets surrounding the royal palace, where they will take control of some of their favorite heroes.
In other words, this will be the exact same map with the one showcased at this year’s E3 event.
Moreover, EA and DICE will be offering Multiplayer Starfighter Assault, in which players will be able to take part in an epic starfighter assault set during the original trilogy era, piloting an assortment of Star Wars’ greatest ships in an objective-based, multi-stage battle.
Naturally, those who pre-order the game will get early access to this open beta (which will be available for them on October 4th).

Played 7h of Closed Alpha, plays almost identically to the first game, the class system is so basic and meaningless that it barely changes the flow of the game.
It still ends up in fighting around 3 chokepoints for 20 minutes each, with each side peaking and spamming explosives.
Heroes no longer pickups, need to buy them with game points u earn during match, but now they have no time limit and regenerating HP on top of that, so someone can be a hero until the end of the match if he doesn’t take on too many people at once.
And then there’s the pay 2 win battlepacks that grant you currency for crafting upgrades, as well as new character abilities that impact gameplay severely.
I’ll pass, like the 1st game, it’s something you’d want to play for 10h just to enjoy some of the visuals on the maps, then forget about it.
