A new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt surfaced today, featuring a quest from the prologue, where Geralt helps a merchant retrieve a mysterious box from the swamps. Now while this video is hosted by the official Xbox YouTube channel, we can safely say – especially due to its 60fps nature – that this footage is from the PC version. Loving how there’s zero console footage of this game. The peasants are all concerned over this, why no console footage, why only pc, is something the matter with consoles, etc. They have PC gameplay even on the xbox channel now 🙂

They are showing it on the XBOX channel because Witcher 3 will support DX12 in Windows 10.
Windows 10 comes with “XBOX” that is basically like an App for gamers on Windows.
MS is trying to make the work “XBOX” synonymous with gaming, regardless the platform.

Even if you were nobility I still wouldn’t care and it wouldn’t make you inherently better. Whoopdeedoo if you are fortunate enough to afford to game on PC. The last console I bought was a PS1 and I agree that PC is much superior as a platform but it’s ridiculous to try to turn this into a class war. The level of teasing for a whole year has been ridiculous. We will probably see every pixel of the game before the release.

the screenshots when it was a pc exclusive looked better than fkn crysis 3, not it looks worst than Witcher 2.

It was never a PC exclusive, but yeah some of the older screens looked much better. I don’t think its current state looks worse than TW2 though.

and i dont know if worse, but definelly not better, i’ve seen some pretty sick witcher 2 screenshots, at max settings.

It looked better yes but it still looks awesome and in some scenes it comes close to that quality. It doesn’t look worse than Witcher 2. Witcher 3 has more polys, DX11 specific features, new lighting techniques etc. Witcher 2 feels better because of its aesthetics. The art direction in Witcher 3 is more colorful, while older build and Witcher 2’s look and feels was more dark and realistic. Witcher 3’s budget is much higher so they had to target bigger market with new look of the game. Luckily, gameplay is still challenging and story is complex, and that’s all what matters.
