Here is what Mirror’s Edge Catalyst looks like in third-person mode

YouTube’s member ‘DANNYonPC’ has shared a video, showing what Mirror’s Edge Catalyst looks like in third-person mode. In order to achieve something like that, DANNYonPC used the Cinematic Tools by Matti Hietanen. It’s a pretty cool video, especially since Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is designed as a first-person game (which explains why Faith’s animations are a bit stiff). Enjoy!

  1. Character animation in 3rd person seem clunky. Is this supposed to be an option or it’s a hidden dev feature ?.

    1. Right in the article:

“Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is designed as a first-person game (which explains why Faith’s animations are a bit stiff).”

Why bother making them smooth when the average player isn’t going to see them without going out their way and using a third party tool?
