Star Wars Battlefront 2 open beta has been extended until Wednesday

Electronic Arts has announced that the Star Wars Battlefront 2 open beta has been extended until tomorrow. The beta would originally end today, however EA decided to extended two additional days. As such, those interested in it can still download and play it.

Now while the beta runs wonderfully, it suffers from micro-transactions. Those damn loot boxes have found their way to Battlefront 2, and the force is strong with them. This is something that currently almost affects every major triple-A release; from Shadow of War to NBA 2K18 and Battlefront 2.

But anyway, we suggest downloading the beta and giving it a go as it will give you an idea of the MP modes that will be available in it. Now whether you will buy it afterwards or not… well… that’s entirely up to you.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 releases on November 17th and its open beta build features three multiplayer modes and two arcade modes. The three MP modes are: Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault and Strike.

  1. The only part that was relatively ok was the Space combat. But even then there is a lot of bs, it should be entirely skill based not unlock cards from a box that can be used to do more damage etc and the missile lockons are annoying as well. But i won’t be funding EA/Dice sadly.

  2. It’s bad. I don’t know how the execs can fk up this much. What’s the deal with every game having cards/lootboxes and shyte. God damnit..

  3. You know loot crates wouldn’t even be so bad if they just kept it to cosmetic stuff, maybe make it tradeable. But no, this game is the new poster-child for publisher greed. Stay away if you care about the integrity of PC gaming.
