Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, showcasing some of the game’s new features and weapons. It’s id Tech, the games all have massive texture files. DOOM was huge as well, so expect this to be no different.

The actual game of Vanquish on PC is like 2gb. 15 GB are low quality cutscnes LOL.

Hopefully Bethesda lent id’s engine expertise to MachineGames. They say DOOM ran at 60 fps even on conslows.
If its id tech 5 its guaranteed to have performance issues.

Sooooooooo looking forward to this game. I ‘get’ that some people understandably don’t care for the ‘Call of Wolfenstein’ direction the franchise has taken since the last two entries in the series but I’ve had great fun playing them regardless.
The first game was one of my favorites of the last 10-15 years so, yeah, I’m hyped for New Colossus. There’s a story there that I actually care about with characters I want to save.
I was more so impressed with some of the great enemy characters than the story per se.
True, but I have to context in order to care about wanting to kill those enemies. There’s lots of games with great character designs. In the end, I wanted B.J. to live. I wanted to find out what happened to Anya. I wanted to see how the story would continue, which makes me badly want to buy New Colossus.
So many new games coming out just look interchangeable. Anthem, Andromeda, Destiny 2, all these shooters. “Oh, another game where you wear an exo-suit and shoot aliens or robots and collect loot.”
I actually care about what I do in between the shooting and looting in Wolfenstein and that’s rare in gaming nowadays.
I dont really see what i am looking for in this sequel.

It’s a fairly common criticism. No need to be rude.
It’s not as fast and fluid as say last years DOOM but in my mind it should not be. Wolfenstein 3D in my mind was more of a testing ground for a new engine at the time. So Wolfenstein with a fully fleshed out story is better than quick-paced shooter with almost non-existing plot. Mind you that was not a dig at DOOM, DOOM in my mind came out exactly the way it was supposed to turn out.
I played TNO mostly for the story and you really cared about the characters unlike those copy-pasted COD games.

In wolfenstein you kill nazis, end of fcking story. Wolfenstein has been doing this for decades, only now people complain about it because of the fcked up generation we live in where everyone is perpetually offended over something. This game isnt pandering, far cry 5 on the otherhand probably is but this is like the other wolfenstein games so whats the issue here? I think its you and people like you. i always had this idea of what fallout 4 would look like before it came out, new rebooted wolfenstein was announced before fallout 4 was a thing and they released mesmerizing screenshots and if you remember it correctly, it was very fallout 3ish, all i could get from those photos was dark, steel, blood and great graphics, turned out fallout 4 was utter garbage to what i had in my mind
let’s hope this game keeps the dark atmosphere, theme and story

Oh and on some interview they said you have the submarine from the first game which is now the base and you can use it to go back to the levels you finished and collect what you missed or do sidemissions, they will be diffirent than last time, eg nightime or diffirent enviroment due to destruction and other story related elements.

When i was browsing through news i saw some vegan shop that opened near my house. I click that article to see that shop, i scroll down and i see some hipster dude with glasses and tattoos and piercings……he was the owner, these people fight against stereotypes and they are stereotypes themselves.

Despite what people are saying, I’m hyped for this game. Really enjoyed the last one, can only hope this tops it. They also said in an interview that it was always intended to be a trilogy, so yay 😀

“we want you to feel like BJ Blaskowicz” – this makes me think about the pre-hype regarding last version of Tomb Raider. “We want you to FEEL like Lara Croft” – right, too bad neither BJ nor Lara is the most relatable characters.
