Ubisoft has released three new trailers for For Honor, showcasing the Warden, the Raider and the Kensei classes. For Honor’s closed alpha is set to run from September 15th to September 16th, and the game is currently planned for a February 14th release. Enjoy!

“Every army needs warriors whose specialty is victory” Jesus Christ. Why do they keep spelling “Honour” wrong?
they guys were in the same compositions class with the devs from mortal kombat.
You can spell them either way. Both ways to spell it are correct. American English or UK English.
I feel that way on so many words.
Why is
Colour/Color
Humour/Humor?
etc. etc.
And do Americans hate the letter ‘u’ or something!
Then why is
Detour/Detour
Amour/Amour
etc. etc. spelled with ‘u’?
Don’t get me started with ‘c’ and ‘s’.
And why do they come up as wrong when we type them in disqus/word etc.. .
Seriously English should get its words straight.
I thought Windows runs the spellcheck, not Disqus?
Is that so!
I did not know.
Then why does it show up as red for ‘colour’?
I already have Windows set to UK English.
That’s weird, it doesn’t for me.
Mine even complains when I sometimes use “defense” instead of “defence” & other such US variations (“z” instead of “s” in some words, etc.)
Weird indeed.
You had me with you until
“Amour/Amour”
I’m not a linquist by any means, you are talking about amour as in a secret love affair right?
I’m guessing with that it’s 2 fold, first removing the u would then make it another known word in Armor like clank clank. I think if its a “Loanword” like Amour or Detour (both French maybe?) that’s why the killer u rule is not in effect, versus when we steal a word from Britain it’s not considered a loan word?
The truth is all us Americans are just speaking a bastardized version of English. But that’s just the way of the world, like the so called Romance languages, where after the fall of Rome and ensuing dark age, all those romance language (French,Spanish,Italian,Portuguese) people still thought they were speaking latin for the longest time lol, not realizing in the regression of thier culture after Rome’s light left the world that they were infact twisting and basterdizing the language itself, so much that after a couple hundred years the regional dialects had split hard enough to be incomprehinsable by thier neighbors.
That’s interesting. I found these examples in a forum. Regardless, I use what I was taught, and I was taught proper English in my third world country. The differences seem to be forced and make little sense to me.
Yeah it really tripped me out to learn that all those nobles back in the day, assumed they were speaking Latin and that it was the other countries that were borked, when in fact none of them knew latin in its pure form anymore.
More than a century ago, american linquists started to remove the letters which are not spelled thus the differences between colour / color, humour / humor etc. It bugs me too.
It’s not “wrong”. It’s just the British spelling
which is the one that they should be using since only people from the US use the American spelling

I’ve learned new term recently, Musou. I learned this in a conversation with someone trying to discourage me from buying the new Attack on Titan game. For those that don’t know Musou is the Japanese name for the Warriors games by Tecmo Koei (eg Dynasty Warriors,Hyrule Warriors) and it has kind of expanded to a sub genre of it’s own. More popular in Asia, but still has a strong following across the world, a quick search of the series shows more than 30 entries on the wiki page.
So I’m kind of thinking is For Honor a western take on Musou? It looks like it, your the hero warrior but part of larger battle that you have to manage with tons of character models running around on screen. I ended up taking that person’s advice and skipping on Titan but have been slowly building hype for For Honor, it’s attackdefense scheme looks pretty novel.
TL;DR: well then your smarter than I, as the post doesn’t really have a point lol
Just to add some extra information, “Musou”???WuShuan? literally means “Peerless”, it’s actually a Chinese term borrow by Japanese and Japanese pronounce it as musou. The original title of Dynasty Warriors is called ?????, both in Japanese and Chinese, the game becomes very popular and have many sequels and similar titles, therefore it also gradually becomes a name of sub genre(“Musou genre” ???).
Wow, very cool info. So would you say this game For Honor would be part of the musou sub genre? I am just now learning so was not sure.
This reminds me a lot of an older game called Spartan total warrior.
As much as I hope that’s console footage, somehow I doubt it……
Even more than that, even if it actually is console footage, I doubt the PC version will look much better………
