YouTube’s ‘John GodGames Emus’ has shared a video, showcasing the latest version of shadPS4 running inFAMOUS Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and God of War 3 Remastered.
shadPS4 is the best PlayStation 4 emulator we’ve got on PC. The emulator can already run Bloodborne smoothly at 4K with 60FPS. So, if you are a fan of it, you should consider replaying it on PC. After all, we won’t get a native PC version of it.
And that’s not all. Believe it or not, we also got some mods for it. For instance, there is a mod that remasters its graphics. Then we have this mod that attempts to restore content that was cut from it. Finally, you can use this mod to play in first-person mode.
Now, as you will see, inFAMOUS Second Son and Killzone: Shadow Fall are nowhere close to being playable. Both of these games run at really low framerates. On the other hand, God of War 3 Remastered runs with 50-60FPS, but it’s full of visual artifacts. Still, the fact that the emulator can launch and go in-game is a huge deal.
In this video, we also get to see Driveclub. Driveclub’s performance is not that great here. To capture the gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 64GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. As we can see via the Performance Overlay, both the GPU and CPU were underused. So, I don’t know why the game was only running with 40FPS.
We also get to see KNACK and The Last Guardian. Sadly, though, both of them have major visual issues. That’s a bummer but hey, by the end of 2025, we might be able to play both of them.
Some other PS4 exclusives that can run on shadPS4 are Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, Alienation, and The Witch & The Hundred Knight 2.
Those interested can download shadPS4 from this link.
All in all, shadPS4 is making a lot of progress. The fact that it can launch and run both Killzone and inFAMOUS is an incredible achievement. Similarly, Driveclub appears to be almost fully playable. By the end of 2025, we should be able to enjoy it at 4K/60FPS. This will be a dream come true for all of its fans.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

inFAMOUS Second Son has some “pretty” female characters. Insomniac was always like that. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/ebb93914cc8c98ac3437742e6622f585f2c0403b9fbc6367a243166eb28ed7da.png

Nice to see WipeOut Omega collection booting at least, even if the track is completely black!
KNACK ON PC BABY!!!
For those wondering, Killzone Shadow Fall is one of the worst FPS games ever made, so don't get excited and wait for it to become playable.
Literally, the game felt like a torture for me to play. I just can't fathom how did they make a gameplay as AWFUL as what it has with a game that has such a wonderful pure sci-fi concept like what it has, especially when considering that the previous games in the series actually had good, if a bit too generic gameplay. I'm assuming that they rushed it out of the door just so that they could make it to the deadline and release it among the GayStation 4's launch titles when it launched back on November 15, 2013. They could've just reused the gameplay from the second and third games instead of just rushing to come up with a new one which backfired and ended up with a horrible game as a result.
The game is only worth it for the sci-fi aesthetics and that's it.
Yeah, they basically tried to make CoD with a sob story. Awful game with pretty visuals.
Yep! If you thought that the previous two games were trying to copy COD (which, honestly, I can see where you're coming from), wait till you play this one, it's as if the idiots who made the game thought they weren't copying COD enough in the two previous games so they double down on copying it even harder with this one, and in a crappier way that even COD itself feels far more bearable even if you dislike COD's gameplay.
And for the entirety of the game, you carry only 1 weapon other than stupid mandatory weapon, which there is literally no reason whatsoever to force that weapon being mandatory, it doesn't serve any purpose in the story or any meaningful gameplay mechanic.
Absolute POS.
The previous game tried to copy Halo, not COD.
Killzone 3 maybe had some big COD influence, but it was still trying to br a Halo killer.
One of the most appropriate "negative" ratings Polygon ever put on a game was for this and even that was probably too forgiving.
Great progress stemmed from desperation to get Bloodborne running on PC. I just wish they'd rename the emulator to RPCS4.
Yep, "shadPS4" is a really weird name to the point that shortly after it initially emerged, I thought that it's gonna end up being another PS4 emulator that goes nowhere and ultimately forgotten just like the several other PS4 emulators that have emerged years ago and completely abandoned now.
Unless something drastic changed recently, it absolutely cannot run Bloodborne at 4k 60. Higher resolutions run like sh*t and are still prone to crashes and artifacts, 4k in particular. It doesn't properly use hardware so the GPU looks maxed out but it only uses 130w on my 4080*.
Bloodborne runs 60fps on my potato radeon 6600. Patience, just patience…
Last guardian, God of war 3, Shadow of Colossus, Gravity rush 2 are all games that id replay on PC with the bells and whistles.
