The Precinct gets an official gameplay overview trailer

Kwalee has released a gameplay overview trailer for its upcoming cop game that looks like a classic GTA on a modern-day engine, The Precinct.

In this trailer, we get to see what our in-game day might look like while playing as a fresh-out-the-academy cop.

In The Precinct, players will clean up the city, uncover the truth, and embark on thrilling vehicle chases through destructible environments in this neon-noir action sandbox police game.

The Precinct promises to combine police sim detail with action sandbox spectacle. Players will be able to patrol the streets and respond to callouts to fight criminals petty and powerful. Additionally, they can choose their own tactics in thrilling chases and shootouts.

According to the publisher, the game will have procedurally generated crimes, ranging from parking violations to gang shootouts. And, to be honest, I just hope that the game won’t really heavily on this procedurally generated content. In short, I hope there will be a lengthy, well-crafted story to experience.

As said, The Precinct will have destructible environments. Moreover, it will offer a day/night cycle with dynamic weather.

From what we know, Kwalee plans to release this game later this year. Or at least that’s what its Steam store page indicates. However, there is still no exact ETA on when it will come out.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
