These past few days we’ve seen some really interesting recreations in Unreal Engine 4. The latest one comes from YouTube’s ‘ArtistArtorias’ who has recreated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Kakariko Village in Unreal Engine 4. This will, obviously, give you an idea of what this N64 title would look like in UE4. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Will not… nitpick… must… resist >_<
Yeah one dude… Flat water with no splash animations, no breaking pots, no chickens, no other npcs.. motion blur is kind meh… Yet looks and runs better then most AAA games on the market. lol.
Yeah, and the camera bobbing is awful (I don’t mind in FPSs but in Third Person I find annoying).
The thing is, the Nintendo games have a great art style but lack advanced gfx technology. I’m playing around with Dolphin+reshade and it show how some simple graphic effects makes a huuuuge difference.
Well I mean if Nintendo had all those Link/Zelda games on the Phillips CD-I…. Surely Nintendo can make or Publish a Zelda games on PC under UR4 XD
If this was done by one dude. Well hats off to him. I hope AAA developers are watching.
Also this was one of my favorite game’s as a teenager next to 007 and Mario 64 on N64
Where is me chickens!?
