TEKKEN 7 gets 8-bit retro recap, opening cinematic and character #3 trailers

Bandai Namco has released numerous new trailers for TEKKEN 7. The first one is a fantastic 8-bit retro recap of the first three TEKKEN games, while the second one is the game’s opening cinematic. The third one showcases some of TEKKEN 7’s characters, such as Kuma, Josie Rizal, Ling Xiaoyu and Paul Phoenix. TEKKEN 7 will be released on June 2nd. Enjoy the trailer after the jump!

  1. Sorry to be pedantic but the footage is closer to aping the 16-bit era than it is 8-bit.

    Either way it seems peculiar given that the Tekken franchise has no roots in either era. It originated on more advanced arcade coin-op hardware and on 32-bit console hardware.
