It appears that a gameplay trailer for Elden Ring has been leaked online. Elden Ring is a new action-adventure RPG from the creators of the Dark Souls games, and below you can find an off-cam video showing 7 seconds from its leaked gameplay trailer.

My guess is that Bandai Namco will take these videos down, so be sure to watch them while you still can. We also expect Bandai Namco and FromSoftware to release this gameplay trailer really soon.
There is currently no ETA on when the game will come out.

I still have a hard time believing it, some of the footage looks super rough. Like the opening even with the terrible quality seems like something straight from a ps3.
Gotta admit if they didn’t show the player riding a horse i could mistake the game for any Dark Souls game.
We don’t know how old the footage is, it’s all labelled as internal use only.
Another one of the leaked videos looked like the oldest one, basically DS3 retrofitted for a pitch and was watermarked with “internal budget sessions trailer”.

Game looks too similar to Dark Souls 3 in terms of art design, combat and general graphics, at least Sekiro was different in art design and combat.
They are taking away what makes Souls games interesting level wise in favor of open world…

they said that they don’t want to make another souls game for now. Its been known since day 1 its gonna be open world rpg with souls style combat but not rest of the “style”. I do understand them, you can’t just do copy-paste all the time, even if it works like it did for souls games.
They copypaste 6 games so far…even the animations in the trailer are reuse…so that sounds like bullsh*t. (is a Souls game except for the map design…which i would argue is the hardest thing to nail besides combat)
To me open world screams lazyness and i doubt it will work with the genre (what’s next? more focus in story and 15 minutes of cutscenes?) the horse footage gave Darksiders vibes…specially in a series where the level design is so good given how low the bar is in the laste decade.

Martin is from Hollywood. What did you expect? GoT was always a postmodern deconstruction as well. It was designed to attack black and white morality and the very idea of heroes. It isn’t even an original idea. Frank Herbert did in decades ago much better in Dune. Martin even lifted things like the freefolk from the fremen. Bran is straight up a ripoff of Leto II. The difference between Dune and GOT though, is GoT is a straight up work of subversion. Dune hated ALL government and ALL power over the people. Leto II failed in Dune. Bran was held up as a good thing. That was the Hollywood ending (they want you to worship their leader and bow down to the third temple), but Martin never said it wasn’t the same as his books. Game of Thrones ends with less freedom than ever for the people. You have a leader who can claim you did anything and have someone else kill you, just like they axed Littlefinger. The difference between him and Dany is that one has the backing of more demographics, which makes Bran even scarrier than Dany. Martin of course knew this, because Bran is the wolf Fenrir and Jaime caged him losing his hand. Matrin bent the knee and made him the perfect leader though, because as I said it is subversion.The Iron Bank is more subverstion. They have the real power in the real world, but Martin acts as if they are not the one’s creating the war for their own profits. Who owns the banks? Same as Hollywood. As I said, he bent the knee.
Yeah look at the first Hollywood Dune and they took a story warning you to not follow leaders and turned Paul into Luke Skywalker. Denis makes some beautiful looking films, but I don’t expect the message to come through. You need until at least Leto II’s failure (you can argue it was his intention to make the ultimate leader fail to though) to understand the work. Hollywood will never ok Dune’s message. At the most I could see them doing the same thing Martin did with Game of Thrones. Ending it with Leto II as God Emperor and not him being yet another tragic figure, like all the other forms of domination and control in Dune.

I expect the Bene Gesserit to be presented much better than they are, just like the Aes Sedai in the upcoming Wheel of Time.series under Amazon. I wonder if you will ever even hear “Misionaria Protectiva” in the new movie. The showrunner of Wheel of Time identifies as a feminist and his favorite character is Egwene, so that show is gonna be a trainwreck. The guy is so thick he doesn’t even understand Egwene and Matt are similar in that you are supposed to hate them at first. because they are spoiled brats who need to grow up, where as Rand is more like Lan and Moiraine and tied to duty and service of others above self. The Aes Sedai claim to be servants but when the series starts they serve themselves with very few exceptions.

you really hit the nail. Something similar happened in Endgame. A woman becomes the queen succeeding a king, which was in the context of the movie considered a welcomed milestone for the Asgardians. And that was celebrated as a positive message from Disney for female empowerment, by the mainstream and social media.
Meanwhile, nobody talks about how the advanced aliens still have monarchy, not democracy, that this specific issue was never touched in all those movies and that we as the audience should somehow accept this continuation of the backwards state as progression, simply because its enabler changed gender.
Hollywood can’t be more hypocritical, and that is why it should never be taken seriously and it should always be criticized. Because underneath all that fanfare of their glossy products, lies some disturbing subtext.

Personally i’m actually a bit hyped by what i’ve seen so far for CRIMSON DESERT; that is a true Next-Gen videogame made by Koreans, taking the best out of Dragon’s Dogma and other games for an awe-inspiring gameplay experience
