Blizzard has released the first dev diary video for the remastered version of StarCraft, in which the developers discuss about the challenges of creating the original classic strategy game. StarCraft: Remastered will feature remastered graphics and audio that will bring a modern look and feel to the timeless classic, with widescreen UHD support for up to 4K resolution. Enjoy!

Hey Blizz, where is all the Korean pandering you were doing with the last trailer?, or is this the “it’s the West’s turn now” kind of deal?.
I imagine the next diary will drone on about e-sports.
are you made they made a commercial with koreans in it?!? are you really complaining about that? racist.
Can I have that in english?.
Also I’m not racist. I actually have a Korean friend. As well as a Japanese, french, german, Russian, British and American mates as well.
your racist because your upset starcraft, a game with a larger audience than america or anywhere else has koreans in a commercial….
I’m not racist because I pointed out that Blizzard is clearly pandering to the Korean crowd, which has been known for years as being the country that plays the game like a national sport.
Being racist is me taking it out on their colour or something else. Nothing racist about talking Blizzard when it comes to pandering to another country.
You say you were stationed in Japan, yet you cannot tell the difference between racism and non racism?.
Wtf mate.
That’s the crowd that really likes Star Craft and competitively. I don’t really see why John flipped out on your comment.
Neither do I. It’s been obvious from the beginning that this remaster was to exist solely because they wanted that Korean market back, ot because they cared about the rest of the world market. This is the same company that thinks it’s not within their “interests” to make another Warcraft TS, yet here they are at this very moment, pandering to Korea with the remaster of an old RTS of theirs.
It’s obvious as hell and they aren’t hiding it either, which begs the ultimate question; “can we now have a new WC or WC 1-3 remastered?”, I mean it’s been years and they clearly show an interest in the RTS market with SC II and SCI remaster.
If We don’t get a remaster of the Warcraft series then I’ll take it in full, that they were 100% pandering to Korea and basically wanting to take that market back for more money and not out kindness or compassion.
I’m sure if the Starcraft Remaster sells well enough we’ll see a WC3 remaster as well, regardless of what. The real question is if the D2 remaster rumour is true, considering how much they’ve defiled D3.
Likewise, I’m not really sure about WC1-2 & D1 remasters considering their age (they’re not even available for sale on B-Net, unlike D2 & WC3), but who knows, maybe it is doable, albeit, with considerably more effort than the Starcraft, Diablo 2 & Warcraft 3 remasters.
Sadly I’m not sure if the Warcraft 3 remaster will have mod tools, considering the state of the industry in that regard these days, which would be a shame considering WC3’s modding history, but yeah >.<
I don’t think Blizz would allow for mods after what happened with the Moba genre, the one game that spawned from theirs and how they let a massive golden nugget slip through their fingers XD.
Imagine if they actually cared enough, they would have had dibs on Dota and eventually LoL if they played their cards right, but seeing as how one of the biggest mods out there produced a whole new genre and they are the ones losing big time on it, I don’t doubt that they won’t allow for modding in the future, because it’s something they know they cannot control or profit from.
how is it pandering if there the biggest players and fans of starcraft? pandering is when you go out of your way to appeal and cater too minorities like how the sjw`s do. jesus christ your dense.
because it’s clear that they want the country that treats one of their games like a national sport, while ignoring the rest of the world?.
They can pander to both groups, without having to make everything about Korea, but that’s clearly the only market they care for when it comes to Starcraft.
Also “biggest”, nah, Korea isn’t bigger than the rest of the world. It’s a country that treats the game like a national sport for sure, but Korea isn’t bigger in population than the rest of the world, nor does it dwarf global sales either.
I think you’re the dense one here confusing pandering that somehow equates to dirty racism.
It was a joke, nutty.
stop being triggered, he was joking about Asian pandering (like whites don’t play RTS’s anymore, which is bollocks. plenty of us still play)
if you shout “racist” you’re only making yourself look dumb
Definitely the West’s turn. After all, can’t forget that American Market, they’ll feel left out!
;D
