Back in 2014, we informed you abou Skyblion; a total conversion mod that aims to bring the world of Oblivion to Skyrim. Its development team has been hard at work and YouTube’s ‘Rebelzize’ released yesterday a new teaser trailer, showcasing its latest progress.

Here is a list of whats new in this latest version of Skyblivion:

  • Armors, weapons and shields are in-game
  • NPC’s have been manually created
  • New textures have been made by Anvil Citizen for the Imperial City and some clutter
  • Flora has been replaced with custom models by 3AMt and the first creature is in-game

TESRenewal plans to release this total overhaul for the Skyrim Special Edition.

Although there is no ETA as of yet, the team claimed that progress will be faster and updates will be more frequent, and that a release date will be coming soon.

    1. If they just bring Oblivion visuals to Skyrim it will be the worst of both worlds and there will be no reason for anyone to ever play this, so I imagine, or hope, that they’ll restore some of the depth TES lost in its transition to Skyrim.

      1. i hope youre right, the custom class creation tool was really good especially for the time it released, id love to see it come back for the overhaul

  1. Pointless.

“Skywind” makes sense but this mod doesn’t. Morrowind is old and runs on a much older engine than Oblivion/Skyrim. However Oblivion ran on pretty much the same engine as Skyrim. It’s a dated engine made for last gen consoles. You can already make Oblivion look better than this with graphics mods for the original game, so why re-create the game in Skyrim.. makes no sense.

    Anyway… Oblivion > Skyrim.

  2. 1. These mods never ever get finished.

    2. They are recreating vanilla Oblivion, aren’t they? Then it’s pointless because Oblivion was only enjoyable with mods.

    1. Seems practically all TES games are only enjoyable with mods. I honestly have no damn clue how or why vanilla skyrim was so damn popular on consoles. It was a horrid game at first. And not to mention the 3 minute long load times that come with console specs. *shrugs*

    2. Then they make mods with in those mods. Then they make Morrwind inside the Oblivion mod that is in the Skyrim game.
