YouTube’s member ‘Rod Lima’ has been working on a HD fan remake of Resident Evil 2 in Unreal Engine, and today shared a video showing off a full playthrough with Claire. According to Rod Lima, most of models, model animes and scenario were extracted from Capcom’s Resident Evil games. It’s not clear yet whether Lima will release this map or not, therefore go ahead and enjoy the video after the jump!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

O m gawddddd finally i yes i want this like 10 years ago!!!
hope they don’t get a cease and desist from crapcom
Capcom is actually pretty cool with fan projects.
game still needs work
Congratz man. This is an amazing job. Cant wait to play it. Try to share it man
excellent !
Dont get hype… This Rod Lima is not going to release this cause he doesnt wanna be demanded by Capcom(bullsh!t). Personally I find hard to believe that this all work is just done by one person. Something is weird about this project, Megaman 2.5, RE 2 Remake on Unity, Street Fighter X Megaman, and I dont see capcom demanding or sending to jail to anyone as Rod Lima says that is gonna happen if he releases the “game”.
