It’s been a while since our last look on Praey for the Gods, right? Well, No Matter Studios showcased the game at this year’s PAX West event and IGN has captured some footage from it. And as you will see, this looks like a perfect new copy of Shadow of the Colossus.
In Praey for the Gods, players take the role of a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world. Players will have to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Players will also have to survive the colossal dangers that they encounter.
In this gameplay video we see the player exploring a snowy environment and then facing a colossal enemy. And similarly to Shadow of the Colossus, players will have to climb these gigantic creatures in order to kill.
Since PC gamers never experienced a game like Shadow of the Colossus (unless of course they used an emulator), we believe that there is an audience anxiously waiting for such a game. It’s not perfect, but it looks quite interesting and cool to say the least.
Enjoy!

We experienced Shadow of the Colossus Remastered years before the remastered version came out.
Clunky but not bad..
Perfect? More like 7.5/10
It is still in Alpha. But yeah, right now it’s not very impressive.
but does it trace rays?
I thought it was inspired by SotC, not that they were making such an imitation of it, this looks way too close to SotC. If that’s the approach they’re taking, it kinda deflates my hype, I don’t think a smallish new developer can match SotC in production quality and technical prowess, so this will likely end up being no more than “a poor man’s SotC”. IMO they should have tried to improve the formula and add some twist to it instead of just copying it so blatantly, because they definitely don’t have the resources to replicate SotC even if they had the talent.

That ain’t the only way, lol.
