NACON has released new trailers for Hell is Us, Edge of Memories and The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. Moreover, the publisher has announced a couple of new games that will please fans of Robocop, Styx and Cthulhu. But, in this article, we’ll focus on the new trailers of the three games I mentioned.
Edge of Memories is a new JRPG from the devs behind Edge of Eternity. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Edge of Memories aims to immerse players in the heart of an exciting epic that pays tribute to the JRPG genre. The game will have dynamic gameplay and real-time combat, aiming to offer a decidedly action-oriented experience.
On the other hand, Hell is Us is a new third-person action-adventure game. Players will have to learn to master a range of different moves and adapt to enemy attacks. They will be able to rely on a variety of weapons and skills, as well as the help of a drone named KAPI.
Finally, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is a four player co-op game. In this title, players will form a group of explorers searching for treasure. Players will board their galleon, prepare for each mission by selecting weapons and equipment before setting off for adventure in the cursed jungle. NACON plans to release this game later this year.
Enjoy!

Dont ask me why but hell is us smells fishy and i dont trust it. When it was revealed i was like "is this a game about the war in ukraine?" Turns out that maybe its based on such setting but its another souls like and if this is what you do when not fighting, no thanks.
As for the cthulu game, it looked decent until it revealed itself to be another coop slop. I stopped the video when i saw that and immediately went to the video to downvote it. I wasnt along judging by the comments.
Even if it based on the war in Ukraine, whats wrong?
[I would like a COD in Ukraine with final level in moscow]
hell is Us looks intresting, new, looks like its not just dumb action game but has puzzles, rpg elecments.
The Cthulu game has SP, i hate co-op trash myself, but if the SP mode is fine, it works for me.
That JRPG is not bad either, far from that 33 game but its indie and probally cheap double A game.
hearing about corrupt Ukraine and it's major f*ckup "war" 24/7 in the news is not enough, you want it to infest gaming also?
russia is the problem, not Ukraine, you blame the victim
There is no f*ckup war, mongoloid russians invaded europe, the war will end when the mongoloids go home, simple as that
“i love slop”
well good for you.
My point was that when i saw it i thought it was gonna be something like left alive but about the war in ukraine like this war of mine and i was not in mood to once again have real life stuff in my escapism. If i enjoyed the way things are right now, i would not play games to escape them. Also i dont like souls like games, they have ruined action rpgs. Even when the setting is near future, eg the surge, space, eg hellpoint and now we got easten european war with this one. Enough. I remember jim sterling saying back in 2015 that survival horror lives thanks to bloodborne and my reaction was , if only bloodborne was a victorian era resident evil style game, it could have been interesting, but no, its another dark souls clone.
The issue is that except Lies of P and some other game, we have no GOOD Dark Souls clones, its all games that try to re-invent something that shouldnt be re-invented and so they suck.
Take DS3 system and apply it to your game, preferably in European Medieval style: Gold
I loved DS1, DS2, DS3 and Demon Souls remake, all the rest are meh, even from the original dev.
Bloodborn, I pre-ordered that game since i love dark souls, but never played pass first level, i disliked the environment and the guns.
Elden Ring, same pre-ordered, never touched, Open world makes games worse, not better, its repetitive as hell, some mini bosses appear over 13 times, someone made a video on tube and counted every single battle, how many times you fight each enemy.
Some 6-8 times, but there are some over 10.
I would play Victorian era Resident evil game [last Alone in the Dark comes close]
Hell is us is more action than souls actually.
there isnt enough footage on hell is us to be sure, the fact that people think lies of p is the best souls like when all it did was copy every mechanic bloodborne and sekiro had. Conclusion, people dont want any innovation, they want a from software game over and over again and this is why they dont change anything and keep making the same game over and over again and refuse to take any chances changing things. This is precisely how dark souls ruined action rpgs.
Exactly!
If it works dont fix it,
I want new Dragon Age that plays exactly like DA Origins
I want new Mass Effect that Plays exactly like ME 2 and 3 did
I want Final Fantasy with Turn Based combat, FF7 remake to with og FF7 or FF10 combat
I want new FPS that plays like original MW, Killzone/Resistance did, im open to good ideas like Singularity had
A 3rd person game that plays like Gears 2-3.
Action game that plays like GoW3 style
I hate games that have gazilion combos, hold that button, and now you have 6 more different action, but hold another and you have 6 more, and you need to remember all that and in such games, most people just use the basic moves, nobody wants an excel file with game commands.
what about you?
“I want Final Fantasy with Turn Based combat,”
no, enough with jrpg turn based combat, its so simplistic, it feels like i am playing pokemon forever.
“A 3rd person game that plays like Gears 2-3.”
i hate that zoomed in shoulder camera so much, max payne and jedi knight was fine, not to mention mercenaries or tomb raider.
Sure, but that TR is action game, it was good too.
I mean 3rd person shooter, actually there are no new 3rd person shooters lately at all.
I heared they working on Gears 1 to 3 remaster for PS5, they already have Gears 1 remaster, i hope Gears 2 and 3 will get similar treatment, but if its same xbox 360 game, but locked to 4K with 60fps and unlocked FPS mode on 120hz screens, thats good too.
I hope since its coming on PS5, there will be a PC version, gears 2 and 3 are still xbox exclusives, they are tweaked thou, they run in 4K on series X and i think one of them also has 60fps boost
Good Turn based combat can be fun, FFX had fun combat, Persona games still do, but my favorite JRPG series is Shadow Hearts, have you played this game?
If you have time for just one, try the Shadow Hearts II, its amazing [needs PS2 emulator], its mature, has adult humor, good period [WW1 Europe], but the turn based combat is active
Basically after you input a command a “Round Wtach-like” appears and it has areas marked, when the arrow spins and goes over the marked areas you need to press a button, if you manage to do all the inpurts right, you get a bonus, but if you fail all of them your lose your turn, if you fail some of them, it makes that action weaker.
Its fun, first its frustrating until you learn, but later in the game it gets harder the hit-fields are thin and the arrow spins Fast AF, so with this game, you never fall into catatonic-state of pressing A to continue the game on “Auto-mode”
Im waiting for Clair Obscure: Expedition 33, the previewers said that the turn based combat is action based you need to time button presses
Just got a new GPU, its so expensive that i think next time, if this continues, ill keep it for as long as i can, i usually upgrade every gen, but selling my 4090 was a mistake, if only i knew
space marine 2, also if i liked jrpgs i wouldnt care about modern gaming, so many oldies to play.
Hell is Us looks fantastic!
I mean, there a lot in there… A nice setting, a good mystery (it seems) and a lot of puzzles (love that).
Cthulhu one would be nice, wasn't it a coop cräp.
And I refuse to speak about cell shade games.
