Ys Net has released a brand new gameplay trailer for Shenmue 3. According to the trailer, the gameplay footage showcased here is from a WIP version and does not represent the quality of the final game.
Shenmue 3 sees the eagerly anticipated continuation of the epic story-driven saga in which players take control of Ryo Hazuki, a teenage martial artist, determined to unravel the mystery behind his father’s murder and to exact revenge on the killer.
Players will explore a vibrant, colourful open world, meet intriguing characters and endeavour on a cinematic adventure which will take you further into enemy territory and deeper into the mystery of the Phoenix Mirror.
Shenmue 3 is currently scheduled for an August 28th release.

So in other words: You haven’t played the games.
I would take games like Shenmue III over the Battle Royale games and Looter Shooters we get nowadays.

The ignorance in the comments is hilarious! Open your eyes people.. Its sad “gamers” these days are so elitist trying to find the most realistic animation and the most high end graphics and completely miss the meaning of gaming! That is why we are bombarded with mediocre games BUT we get top notch graphics and animation.. The game has the feeling of the remarkable Shenmue we played back then! That is almost impossible for a sequel after so many years yet Suzuki achieved that!!
Ryo is one strange looking dude. Had this on the dreamcast long time ago, didnt think it was that great. The game did really stand out with its graphic style.
If Shenmue III isn’t ‘Shenuvo III’ then I’ll likely buy it regardless of what self-important internet keyboard warriors say!
