New Just Cause 4 trailer focuses on the APEX Engine

Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have released a new trailer for Just Cause 4 that focuses on its APEX Engine. This trailer is part of a behind-the-scenes series that first premiered on the Just Cause 4 E3 Blowout, meaning that it does not pack any new gameplay sequence or scenes.

According to the teams, the new Apex Engine underpins everything in Just Cause 4. It delivers the most interactive, extreme weather simulations ever seen in a videogame, complimented by incredible visuals, unparalleled physics and endless creative possibilities. The game promises to take the series incredible destruction and unique physics to a whole new level with the introduction of tornadoes and other extreme weather events.

Just Cause 4 is currently planned for a December 4th release.

Enjoy!

    1. What video are you looking at ?

As for downgrades , No doubt but there is video of people playing the build so that’s promising.

  1. “It will literally blow your mind” … 0_0 Does that woman know what the word literally means? No one would play a game that can literally blow someone’s mind XD

  2. I’m sick and tired of these companies putting out these engaging, exciting, entertaining games. So predictable. “I’m gonna have fun when I play this!” BORING! The gaming industry is tirelessly attempting to entertain us and their schtick has just grown so tired.

  3. just hope it will be a better port than just cause 3, it ran ok on my pc but many users online have issues with that game

  4. Note to anyone who plans on making any video on any subject in any context.

Never make edit a video like it’s done in this trailer. It is nauseating.

    1. that would be a game seller for me. But hey… i guess they don’t care. They should make every god damn game coop…

  5. The whole video was about this incredible engine that can do things they didn’t do before and even better than any other engine but they had gameplay segments that didn’t even show it off.

Im yet to see anything I haven’t seen before.

    1. They’re talking mostly about the scale of things (definitely visible, but not really apparent since they don’t drive around the whole open world in fast forward) and about the depth of simulation (they could have showed that off but they went for flashy no substance editing instead). It’s a bad trailer, all things considered. The game might be vastly improved but we wouldn’t know it based on this footage. The confirmed impressive stuff is all tech, not gameplay.

  6. Despite all the negativity and backlash, I’m seriously interested in JUST Cause 4. I really enjoyed the previous game, and I’m looking forward to play this title.

I just hope the Devs polish the Gameplay, AI and other elements before release. APEX Engine has got potential though.

  7. This is cool but that video is so overeditted. There are so many cuts so often that it gave me a headache.

    1. ^THIS!
I got so annoyed by the editing…its as if someone just learned that they could add crazy effects to videos and went berserk!
The ppl who approved this video for public release should be fired!

  8. Marketing with a bunch of buzz words and hype. Welp, not like other singleplayer games are coming, so might as well make the best of this one. Here’s to hoping it runs well on PC.

  9. it seems technically advanced, especially the 3D clouds, but the art direction is a mess. looks like Bad Company 2 or older due to its terrible art style. JC3 looked more realistic already.

  10. MORE lies …great, when it was with just cause 3 , they said they where exploring regions and documenting them to make them as inspiration for the game…it was a lie.

  11. “New Just Cause 4 trailer focuses on the APEX Engine”
Yet no matter where I skip – it’s a bunch of ugly dudes talking
