New gameplay footage surfaces for Alien: Hope for the future

IIapagokc and a team of indie devs have released a new gameplay video for the upcoming Alien fan game, Alien: Hope for the future. My guess is that this gameplay video showcases the game’s latest build.

Alien: Hope for the future is an Immersive sim project with elements of survival-horror and tactics. This isn’t a commercial game, meaning that it will be distributed for free to everyone once it’s complete.

The story of the game takes place in “Hadly’s Hope” colony , before and during the xenomorph incident. Therefore, players will assume the role of one of the colonists. Players will have to survive by finding some supplies for them and other colonists. Players will also be able to avoid or fight xenomorphs.

The game is using the Unity Engine and there is no ETA on when it will come out. There is also no word on whether IIapagokc will release a public demo for it prior to its full release. It’s also worth noting that 20th Century Studios and SEGA have not shut down this project yet.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more (gameplay footage starts at 11:21)!

  1. Considering there is a licensed game coming out soon… this is just begging to be shut down. Don’t people learn or have common sense?! Don’t post or show anything till after you release it so the files are out and hard to erase off the net.

On a side note… this looks amazing and far better then the licensed wave shooter co-op game. I hope they release this soon. At the very least since they are in russia hope even if they get a take-down notice they just say screw it and release it anyways. This looks great!

    1. Their aim is never to create a full blown game, its usually to get coverage to pad their resume. These sorts of things do wonders for you during an interview. Even social media followers is a factor nowadays. I mean theres a very good reason so many videogame writers are bloggers.

none of them good though. So maybe the reason is ideological nepotism?

          1. who the fck cares enough to know the people who work in the game industry by their names? you three are autistic as fck.

      2. Interesting theory, but which devs of fan games actually landed a job thanks to a (shut down) fan project? Any evidence you wanna share?

        Which ones?

        1. I remember seeing a lot of prototypes of old famous games remade in UE4 in this site, but those quickly disappear from the net.

  2. nice find! download while you can people and quit cryin. the people complaining about the legal cringe are probably the same ones to rat him out. or start spreading the stuff to the mainstream and get it all taken down. just enjoy the preview and move on.

edit: nevermind somehow dude made the vid un-DL’able go figure

    1. “download while you can”

I can’t, that’s the issue, there is no demo yet. And i like what i see and love Unity engine.

    2. Mainstream? You mean like this website? This stuff gets taken down because the creators go public in the first place. It’s no ones fault but their own.
