Now here is something that completely passed under our radar. Last month, Archangel Studios released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Dark Souls-inspired game, Bleak Faith: Forsaken. It looks great, so make sure to watch it if you are fans of the Souls games.
Bleak Faith: Forsaken is a third-person open-world survival horror action RPG, that draws inspiration from the Dark Souls series. Players will assume the role of one of the Forsaken; the last frontier of humanity against the growing horrors of the Omnistructure.
The game promises to feature a challenging combat system. Positioning, timing, and resource-management are all things you’ll have to keep in mind at all times.
Bleak Faith: Forsaken is using Unreal Engine 4 and targets a Q4 2021 release date.
Enjoy!

One to keep an eye on.
Framerate was all over the place.
Bad framerate, bad filters and motion blur galore…
You do realize this is being made by two guys only right? Even AAA games have those problems these days so it’s impressive what two guys did here, not trying to defend those issues but still if they manage to pull it off and fix all the issues then it will be a game that I will support.
I didn’t know it was two guys, but anyway the other video at the steam page looks A LOT better…
What we should care about is gameplay
And this is just the trailer
They’re subject to change
thought we getting mortal shell dlc from the pic. then i started reading.
I cannot tell much from this trailer to decide how I feel about this game. Will wait and see.
Remember when seemingly 95% of Western indie games were pixel art faux retro throwbacks? These days it’s more like 45% the former and 50% Souls-likes.
Serious optimizations, motion blur removal, and camera adjustments required.
Music sounds kickass though the distortion is too modern
I’ll be keeping an eye for it
Person: Hey, your game doesn’t have a story!
Dev: A what??????
Person: A story, you know, some plot to follow
Dev: Oh, that… Yeah.. Uhm… Oh yeah, it’s a sOuLs-LiKe, mate
