  1. Another game with a ‘press this button to see through walls and identify all useful things’ mechanic. I get the reasons for having it in some games but it’s so common it’s getting rather boring. I feel like developers just fall back on it without considering more original gameplay.

Anyway, apart from that this looks very promising and it’s nice to see the lord of the rings licence being used for something not based on the standard characters.

    1. Yeah, I know what you mean about the seeing through walls thing. Glad there was an option in the last of us to turn it off 😛

  2. No instant kill after counter/block,you can crouch in stealth segments, that little things just makes it better.

  3. Damn ubisoft really innovated with this one, what? This isnt a new assasin’s creed game? Sorry i lost track with liberation HD release, now it feels they make one every other tuesday.

Anyway jokes aside the similarities i combat, controls climbing and animations, i see some great ideas here, this whole choice system looks pretty interesting, if they can trully give you multiple choices to do the missions and not pretentious “sneaking until you reach the boss to activate auto alert mode and boss battle.” then it will be great. Having open world at which the missions you play change depending your choises is a great idea. I cant believe warner bros let them make this game, the ideas it has would be pretty offputing to the stock holders, they be like “noo noo you doing it wrong, needs to be more cinematic and generic”

  4. I got distracted by the pretty graphic.. and couldn’t follow any of that. I heard “open world” and “middle earth”..that’s good enough for me.

  5. Looks ok, but why use an American voice over on this sort of game. It really doesn’t suit the genre at all.

  6. Visuals look good! I love LOTR…and so even though this looks like AC in terms of animations, I am very much interested!

  7. There are a thousand fantasy settings out there that actually deserve to be forced into template cinematic action games. The only reason this exists is that they want to milk the license while they still can. It uses secondhand tech, for christ’s sake. Form a conscious thought for once in your lives, and don’t buy it.
