PC version used to mean playing with a mouse and keyboard, back in the day.
Rarely did back in the day. If you don’t mean the late 90’s early 2000’s. Joysticks, pads and accessories have always been a part of PC gaming. Saying it meant mouse and keyboard back in the day is delusional. We’ve had our share of games that you have to use a freaking flight stick to play as one example. And in the pre days of PC as it is today, games was almost impossible to play without a joystick. A lot of people didn’t even have a mouse tbh.
Gravis GrIP. Gravis Xterminator. CH Flightstick.
Good times.
ill always use a gamepad on these kinds of games
i use keyboard and mouse only on competitive fps
The Same Here…
oh yeah those too
guess i should say i use gamepad on 3rd person games (except Mass Effect series (only because they didnt support them))
Gamepads are so limited though, you need auto aim and auto camera to help you with the gamepads’s lack of precision. I always play third person games with a mouse and keyboard.
Yeah but these games are made as console games primarily. We are just getting higher resolution versions on PC. The targeting systems are usually designed with gamepad in mind so you aren’t makign the game any harder on yourself using gamepad. In fact one might argue you are playing an easier version of the game than console users are because you have the enhanced precision of keyboard and mouse on the same game.
And for games that have loot?
I can’t stand watching people awkwardly trying to pick up loot: it takes so long with a controller and it looks like they are controlling a robot arm.
I wouldn’t play any game that has a loot system if I couldn’t play it with a mouse…
Damn, looks like not what I was expecting (aimed at teens mostly)
“GAME24 event”
nice event, i hope we see more of this from nvidia and amd and intel, inviting devs somewhere to stream and play PC version of their games and talk about PC.
Yeah I like these events but would like actual influential people in the industry hosting it
(possible not just Devs showing there games but also sitting on the other side of the couch)
As for Shadow of Mordor I’m able to get it at a good price at retail here ($34) so I’ll be picking it up.
Got a few days and all 3 movies to watch to get up to speed with the lore.
As much as I like to watch hot chicks…I just can’t stand the stupidity of most who are part of tech or gaming events!
Maybe you can offer you services to them? I’m sure they will replace those girls with you in no time at all…
Meh —__—
Everything in this game except the nemesis system, which is also meh, has been done before/rip-off.
Platforming = AC/Batman (which, I think, looks a lot like AC but they have to say Batman coz the creator of the code complained)
Battle system = Batman
Story = Generic crap
No innovation whatsoever —__—
Nvidia marketing bad console ports with scripted “interviews” again. Masterrace! Someone remind me, what’s the official nvidia shill stance on this? nvidia is the best company in the world because they offer more niche gimmick features than their competitor, you say? Free pass because gimmick features it is.
