Micky Mouse-inspired noir FPS gets new official gameplay trailer

In May 2023, we informed you about an upcoming noir FPS game inspired by Disney’s Micky Mouse. And today, we are happy to report that a new trailer for it has been released. This trailer features some gameplay sequences, so be sure to watch it.

Mouse will look like those cartoons from the 1930s with a noir vibe. Imagine it’s got that classic rubber hose animation style too. The game will be all about the story, taking you on an exciting adventure through a city full of danger and corruption.

In this game, you’ll step into the shoes of John Mouston, a private detective. You’ll get to use cool weapons from the mid-century like the Revolver, Tommy Gun, Hammer, Carcano, and Dynamite. And yes, you’ll also be able to solve mysteries and take on various challenges.

Finally, the game will also have a power-up system. Via this system, players will be able to upgrade their weapons and abilities.

Fumi Games plans to release Mouse in 2025 on PC. There is also a Steam store page for it up and running. This page has some preliminary PC requirements. However, since the game won’t be coming out anytime soon, you shouldn’t pay them a lot of attention.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Haha, that looks pretty fun! The novelty alone interests me, but like anything depends on price. I’ve seen so many FPS games come and go that I dont bother with anymore and it’s my favorite type game It’s a long way off though, darrn.

    1. I’ve been playing boomer shooters lately, and that scene is still pretty good as it’s mostly indie titles and not AAA games that are boring and/or monetized to hell and back.

      1. Monetized shooters that you pay up front for and then pushed as Games as a Service are a pox on the community. I’d be ok if they were entirely F2P but shelling out $$$ for the base game and then having F2P monetization tactics on top of it is too much. Others can enjoy them, I won’t.

        1. I took a look, and I’m not really a big fan of the grimdark wild West aesthetic. I might check it out though if it ever goes on a deep sale.

  2. I bet that trailer is enough for it to be a financial success, people really eat up on style over substance without a batting an eye. Wonder if this game will be worthwhile beyond its aesthetic.

  3. Ha ha Mickey mouse is killing Disney mouse , This game should be release right now , I guess devs are waiting for mickey mouse to become public domain in 2025

  4. Dumb and unnecessary. Anything Cuphead-like would be cool, but a Call of Duty with a cartoon MOD is just stĂĽpid and a lame cash grab move.

    1. Why does Cuphead get a pass if an FPS in literally the same style doesn’t? Genuinely interested in this take. Who cares if it’s a “cash grab” if it’s actually good (not sure we can say without playing). Most games are “Cash Grabs” and aren’t designed as “Art”. If they weren’t expected to make money then many publishers wouldn’t publish them. (Yes, I’m being pedantic).

      1. Dude, if you’re willing to play a shĂŻtty FPS with a cartoon filter, I can only assume you didn’t experience too much in games yet, which is awesome. But there’s the other side, and maybe you’re just dĂĽmb and will play any shĂŻt some company vomits to you. Which is the case with this game, a dĂĽmb FPS with a “cool” 30’s cartoon filter on top.
But that’s none of my business.

        1. So much for my attempt at civil discourse with ya. Have you played it yet or only watched the youtube video? Assuming the latter… I haven’t. I’ve given sh!tty looking games a try because they were generally well received, like oh, Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld, but I also grew up playing sh!tty looking games because until the last few decades, we had to let our imagination fill in the holes. That said, this isn’t just a cartoon filter you nutbag. The black and white might be, but I actually kind of doubt it because it’s harder to have creative control over how your B/W filter will look if you design it with colorized textures because the Red, Green and Blue channels respond differently than some people might expect depending on how the black and white filter is implemented, but you’re probably too fncking dumb to get that and are just hating on it because that’s what most people on this site get their enjoyment from … as if having several thousand upvotes for cynical responses has any value in the real world. You respond like a f*king child, I guess you expect people that respond to behave the same.

Last paragraph… you assume I’ll play the game, I have no idea. I’ll wait for reviews, so back to my question. What’s your excuse for sh*ting on something that isn’t out, has limited gameplay video, looks similar in style to something that you gave a pass to. As I said, I was genuinely interested, but you had to reply in the most juvenile manner and yet you call others retarded? Apparently, you’re too fncking dumb to have an adult conversation.

  5. They’d do better if the bw is just an optional filter, which it most likely is since I doubt all of it’s developed in bw only. Idk why the insistence on mouses other than the diz reference though. Sadly mickey the perpetually hi voiced druggy has gotten a pass and has actually been a prime mover and pusher of various things for a long time. Easier to see now though with so much fact and info out there and the diz has lost a lot of goodwill pass w being a recognized virtual monopoly “kingdom” of the syndicate. The version of human traficking in the form of entertainment pipeline meats it has produced doesn’t do any good for it’s false image either.
