Mass Effect-Style Sci-Fi Adventure, EXODUS, Gets Extended Gameplay Reveal

Archetype Entertainment has released an extended gameplay reveal trailer for its upcoming Mass Effect-style sci-fi adventure game, EXODUS. In this 20-minute trailer, we get a glimpse at what the game will offer. So, if you are a Mass Effect fan, you should definitely check it out.

EXODUS is the first game from a new studio created by RPG developer James Ohlen. The developers say it will be a next-generation RPG focused on story. It will feel like a movie and aim to create strong emotions for players. The game will give players many choices that affect the story. These choices matter because of something called Time Dilation, which means time can affect events and consequences in different ways. It will also include modern AAA gameplay features and give players a lot of freedom in how they play and shape the story.

In EXODUS, humans have left Earth because it is dying. They have found a new home in a dangerous galaxy. You play as The Traveler, who is the last hope for humanity. Your job is to steal powerful alien weapons and technology from a race called the Celestials. The Celestials are the strongest beings in the universe and humanity’s greatest enemy. But there is a problem: Time Dilation, which means time does not move the same way everywhere, and it can change what happens in your mission.

When Travelers go on their journey in EXODUS, they age much more slowly because of Time Dilation. Meanwhile, the people they leave behind, like friends, family, and companions, age much faster. When Travelers return home, they might find that years or even decades have passed. The friends they left behind could have lived full lives, grown old, or even passed away while they were gone.

Archetype Entertainment plans to release EXODUS in 2027. However, there isn’t a specific ETA for when it will come out. We also don’t have any PC specs to share.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
