Game Informer has shared a video interview with the developers of Mafia III, featuring some new gameplay scenes from it. Mafia III is set in a reimagined New Orleans in 1968, one of the most tumultuous years in American history. The game is currently planned for a 2016 release on current-gen platforms. Enjoy!

there is nothing new in this video
Bit of a misleading title there. Still, can’t wait to get my hands on this game
just so you know, the studio is in San Francisco prepare for “progressiveness”
so we can expect muh diversity muh art and few months later, gamers are evil we won’t make games anymore 😀
No this will have better gameplay than the last 2 utter scripted games you will build a empire, what you will get is propably trans characters like the new creed.

By all means please give me another scripted game with crappy campaign and characters, with that godawful race with predetermined equipment with a map with nothing to do in it.
OR give me a mafia game with factions, organized crime and profits to upgrade your empire.
The “diversity” is bullshit, it’s all to please the Political Correctness crowd and today’s ‘everyone is the same no matter what race or gender’ thinking. Clearly they have lost the plot about “Mafia” and turned it into a GTA hipster clone.
i know, i’m making fun of these hipster devs 😀
One thing i noticed is more games are using less linear approaches to games and i love that
I think it depends on the game. For anything that is open world, you should absolutely have these more open choices to how to complete objectives. But to more linear games? There isn’t anything wrong with a more linear style of gameplay. Like if I’m playing a stealth game, I should have to rely on stealth. If I’m playing an action game, I should have to rely on action.
There is nothing wrong with going back to basics. And besides, it is much more enjoyable to be amazing at one thing, than a jack of all trades but master of none.
“There isn’t anything wrong with a more linear style of gameplay.”
I dont think you understand what he means.
“Like if I’m playing a stealth game, I should have to rely on stealth.”
Yup you dont, For starters most “linear” games are scripted to death. So not only these games that allow you to play the way you want add more replay value but they make sure the game doesnt assault you with scripted moments and hand holding for “cinematic” feel.
“There is nothing wrong with going back to basics.”
Thats the thing, they dont, they just make them more scripted and cinematic because this is “modern” and the basics are “Dated”
agreed completly. far cry 4>far cry 3. why? uber scripted campaign.
This game doesnt deserve that song
One word, repetitive turd…
I hope that hardware-accelerated PhysX makes a return.
Is your avatar the main character of this game?
Looks like it’s going to be a nice campaing, but the gfx man… demmm jagged edgesss! Hope pc will look better than this. Also it looks blurry assss fkkk
Maybe this sounds crazy but.. i loved Mafia 1 and 2. Loving them makes me excited about 3. Crazy i know.
but it’s not like them at all
Mafia The city of Lost Haven was the best, 2 was good and now 3 looks rubbish.
I dont see how it hat crappy shooting and driving mechanics…god that damn race, very very linear and went nowhere in the end, nor did the second game. This one at the very least will be about open world and building and empire
If that’s how you view those games then you missed the point of them entirely.
which is?
First Mafia was masterpiece, ever since they’ve been trying to reach that level. Mafia 2 was not as good as first one but it was still a great game IMO. Mafia had always been a game targeted for mature audience. This third entry looks terrible. Not only that but it’s targeted for people who like to do stunts in GTA and when in air, they are like “Weeeeeeeeeeeee”… Meh.

looks worse than Max Payne 3
Going to repeat myself: No Vávra = No Mafia.
That guy has the “touch”, without him we are just getting another GTA.
