Warhorse Studios has released a new video for Kingdom Come: Deliverance that focuses on its sword combat mechanics. As the company noted, it spent thousands of hours with the research of medieval sword combat to make it as realistic as possible. Enjoy the video after the jump!

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

Nice! Hope it runs decently on my old laptop.
This is the only upcoming game I’m moderately hyped about (finally a medieval ARPG without silly dragons and magic!). And Vavra knows his stuff, for those who don’t know, he made Mafia 1 & 2.
Looks like it could be good. Reminds me of Dark Messiah in a good way.
IN WHAT OTHER WAY COULD IT POSSIBLY REMIND YOU OF DARK MESSIAH?? DEFILER!
Buggy? Let hope not anyways. BTW as one fanatic to another- did I ever fight you in Multiplayer? Handle at the time was Celedrin.
In 2006 I was still underage so I was stuck playing the pirated version, no multiplayer for me. And later, somehow I never even considered playing multiplayer.
2:36, really that guy doesn’t know english? Oh god..I hope they bring this sh*t to life cause we keep seeing bits & pieces.
I’m so happy there are still devs that try to make innovative games and push for new experiences and gameplay genres. Looks like a game to spend a lot of time on, I hope this will attract a lot of modders. Building further upon this already impressive first person melee combat with mods could be crazy good.
The only issue i have with this system is that severely limits the game on what type of weapons you can choose. Dont get me wrong, it looks amazing but you wont see a flail in the game anytime soon.
