  1. Looks impressive, gorgeous and atmospheric as one can be. Gameplay is very intriguing… but it will probably end up with people rushing and shooting everywhere like most multiplayer titles… hopefully not…

  2. The term “pre-alpha” is seemingly being abused in instances such as this when it seems as though the game is a long way in to its development cycle with pretty much all key elements already in place.

I suspect it’s the fault of PR and marketing personnel seeking to deflect criticism because as soon as anybody posts negative comment they know with near certainty that a dimwitted fanboy will bleat “But it’s only pre-alpha footage!”.

    1. Really? That looks pretty unfinished to me. It shows potential, but if that’s all it has to show then it’s a solid pass.

      1. Can they afford the final product to look exactly the same with the way they’ve been going these days?.

        1. Money doesn’t have anything to with this. Cryengine is simply capable of these visuals and the fact that they already have real people running the game indicates that this will not be downgraded.

  3. it runs pretty bad it feels like 15-20fps with stuttering and they are probably using high end pc’s…i know its cryengine but it still looks far from being optimized

    1. Yeah, usually pre-alpha means they have all the content in place and they are now going to polish/optimize the game.

  4. Looks like a really good foundation. Let’s hope they really flesh it out with enough content, unlike Evolved. A singleplayer campaign, even it it’s short, would be most welcome.
