Here’s the first gameplay trailer for Obsidian’s RPG, Avowed

Microsoft has released the first gameplay trailer for Obsidian’s upcoming RPG, Avowed. And, surprisingly enough, this trailer reminded me of Immortals of Aveum. And no, I’m not kidding here. Microsoft also stated that the game will release in 2024. Enjoy the trailer after the jump!

Avowed - Official Gameplay Trailer

From what we know, Avowed will be a fully open-world game. Its map will be “denser” and “more contrasted” at the same time than the one for Skyrim. Moreover, the game will have real-time weather and a very advanced character creation tool.

Additionally, Avowed will have a big focus on world reactivity. Not only that, but it will have advanced lighting, as well as next-gen AI systems and physics.

What’s also great – at least for PC gamers – is that the game will support mods. This is a huge deal as modders have supported Skyrim for years.

Avowed will be fully respecting POE creatures lore with new additions, and will have dynamic presentation of dialogue. It will also have bosses, very large number of fractions, and will allow you to have companions.

  1. Swords and Bows ….. I’m in ….. Not day one though ….. I no longer buy anything day one …..

Let Captain Kirk boldly go where no man has gone before ……

    1. Lol, you’re planning to buy a game after watching a bland 2mn trailer dude, day one or not, this is a stupid AF move

      1. It’s because of people like me that you even have computers in your home and an Internet to whine like little girlies on …. I built my first computer from scratch in 1976-1977 (Altair 8800) from an article in Popular Electronics using “floor sweepings” my Uncle got from IBM where he was working as a prototype engineer on things like the IBM PC. When I first got on the Internet the World Wide Web consisted of a single site at CERN in Europe, coded my first website by hand in Notepad, signed into the Internet with a Unix Shell Account and uploaded it to my universities server because there were no public ISPs yet

So what’s your claim to fame in this world? What have you ever created besides noise?

        1. stop playing medieval fantasy rpgs, we got so many of them already. Back then we had more variety in games.

  2. I really just can’t get in to games where you fight enemies with your hands/magic. It always just feels kind of lame/cheap. Also the graphics felt way too cartoony/bright. After the Outer Worlds… I don’t have any faith in this game. Wake me up if reviews are good
