Achieved with Cryengine is currently working on a STALKER fan remake in CRYENGINE. While we do not know whether this project will ever be released to the public, you can find its first trailer below, showcasing some of its environments. It looks cool, so be sure to watch it!

but i would really like to have another stalker game
well i just hope the new upcoming metro game has a free-roam in addition to a linear story
that little DLC when you roam around the library gave me that stalker intensity and fear…
such an amazing experince… i really hope next year is the release date
the STALKER games are by far my favorite single player games. Now that GSC is back i really hope STALKER 2 is in development 🙂

Dont know why a major studio hasn’t bought the stalker franchise, given the buzz around the game after all these years. A stalker game is needed ASAP

I don’t know if they can remake/remaster the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise as it’ll have legal implications, but I bet they can do it with the Lost Alpha build. That would be awesome.
Well, to be a STALKER game it needs more than copy paste the terrain in my opinion.
There is nothing like Misery + Gunslinger (once the guy releases it) to play it at the moment.
STALKER Call of Chernobyl and Lost Alpha are also great standalone mods.
PS: The only ones that can do a true STALKER game are the ones at 4A Games (Metro developers).
I had hopes for Survarium but the game is a mess and a lost cause at this point…sadly.
STALKER without X-ray Engine is like Crysis on Unreal Engine.
