As promised, Activision and Bungie are about to reveal the first gameplay footage for Destiny 2. Destiny 2 will be one of the biggest releases of 2017, and it is said that the PC version will be properly optimized for our platform. Destiny 2 releases on September 8th. Enjoy!

Wait right there, that’s not a spoiler… you forgot the low FoV.
Amended ^^
“Ah, but it’s not the official gameplay trailer!”
Or something like that? Lol…….
Just as much of a peasant shooter as the first game. Slow, bullet spongy enemies with unsatisfying weapons and gimmicky OP superpowers. The only question is how much overpriced DLC and microtransactions they’ll shove in now that they have an established fanbase.
Yup also it feels like halo and i dont like halo. People sounded so excited in the crowd, but if you play destiny for hundrends of hours, hundrends of hours of the same sht, anything new looks good to you after all that time.
There absolutely no point to add your halo option.
There is no point in what you saying. Makes no sense.
If you didn’t include that first sentence of that comment, I would have upvoted you so hard, but no. You had to unzip your ideas and show us your tiny option.
Halo, despite having many weaknesses, is built on top of extremely solid combat as a foundation. The enemies are varied, move around a lot and seem somewhat intelligent. The weapons are varied and you can tell they are well designed because there are plenty of situations where choosing which two to take with you is difficult. Depending on what weapons you carry and find, and what enemies you encounter Halo games come with totally different pace and considerations for the player. There’s a lot of variety and challenge in Halo games.
Meanwhile, every time I see Destiny (or now Destiny 2) the player is firing some generic SMG or automatic rifle that seems to pack no punch, the enemies are faceless robots with no distinguishing traits. Every last thing about Destiny is boring. The different departments don’t seem to be coordinated, there is no overall style that emerges, no flow to the gameplay either. Watching that stage demo the first thing I was reminded of actually were user created Snapmaps for Doom 2016. Those also tend to lack overall direction and there’s no flow to the gameplay.
“is built on top of extremely solid combat as a foundation.”
The second game had bullet spongy enemies and higher difficulities only made them worse.
“The weapons are varied and you can tell they are well designed”
In the first game, after that it went nowhere. Half the weapons were meh.
Also there is nothing rewarding when killing respawning flood enemies.
Umm….its an MMORPG shooter. How would you make shooter with Diablo style loot?
How would stats matter? This is not just a shooter. Its like Borderlands or more so Defiance.
Its ok not to like this genre. But to call it peasant shooters…
Are MMORPGS peasant RPGs? Just because you don’t like them either?
They are putting a huge focus on “guided games” and “clans”, two aspects that already exist in other MMO, hell even Heroes of the Storm, a moba game that allows me to have a party and still leave it open to invite randoms into my game. What I call that with Destiny 2 is a very late and already existing idea.
I get that they are trying to make it sound and appear as a super friendly awesomesauce buddy type game, but at the end of the day it’s another game with a lobby, a lobby filled with people chomping at the bit to ruin your day/evening. Their system won’t remotely curb it let alone entirely.
Show me actual gameplay, show me PC specific changes ffs, stop marketing two marketing words as if it’s all the game has to offer…
3 shots to kill the same bullet-sponge enemies over and over.
Locked into a zones to clear wave after wave before artificially progressing.
Tight corridors with zero-emphasis on any actual teamwork.
Can anyone remind me why people like Destiny?
Many peoples preorder first game because they thought that this will be something like HALO. But they were wrong. This is not old Bungie. I think that second game sell really badly like last few “expensive dlc” to first game.
Same here, I sold it few days after purchase.
I’m not gonna buy the sequel (Pc or console version). Fool me once…
it looks and feels like halo, but if you pay attention its a crappy borderlands.
“Can anyone remind me why people like Destiny?”
because a jewish company pays millions in advertisement money to make sure all the kids and good goys buy it
I like fps, i play alot of fps. I also like sci fi alot. But there are 2 things i dont like. mp focused games due to the repetition and the mmo elements. The other thing is halo, its such a consolish fps and i dont like the way it looks and feels, the crosshair position the look of the guns, the look of the enemy designs, the look of the level design.
This game looks like it has both the mp/mmo focus with bulletspongy enemies and repetition and the consolish look and feel of halo.
Why do people like destiny? Its their new cod. A console fps to waste some time. I am not suprised why everyone is so excited in the background of the video, they played destiny for hundrends of hours and that game was a stale generic repettive dissapoitment, anything new must look like a godsend revolution to them.
Half-agree. Halo Classic (Bungie Halo) was great. Halo “Modern”, ergo Call of Duty: Halo (343 Halo) is a joke, I concur.
halo 1 was short it turned into a revist of the same levels with infinite respawning enemies halfway through, halo 2 fov and weapon models are horible, enemies are bulletspongies and ends with a cliffhanger.
Meh.
Yeah, the cliffhanger is legendary in how big of a fail it was, but to be fair, it wasn’t intended to be that way; Halo was originally a standalone game that got too popular for Bungie’s own good, so they scraped together the cutting room floor pieces for the sequel, which dragged on for too long, & ended up getting cut into two halves, Halo 2 & Halo 3, resulting in that terri-bad ending.
Also, sh*tty Vista port.
Damage numbers, XP, unlocks, customization, socialization (using a video game as backdrop while really you just want to chat with people). Those would be the big motivators I suspect. Good gameplay is definitely not on this list.
welcome to Gritty Borderlands!
Is there a decent story and interesting world to this game or is it going to be another dull grind-fest like the first?
So it is being released on battle .net and not coming to Steam…
Its all still on PC. So whatever.
Some people get offended and refuse to buy games that get released on PC on platforms other than Steam.
If Activision (which forms half of Activision-Blizzard) is looking to move their games over to Blizzard’s Battle-Net store, then I’m betting Bethesda is definitely looking to get away from Steam, as well.
Oh, f*ck. Not good. Not at all good. Competition between storefronts is fine & all, absolutely, but Battle-Net doesn’t deal in competition, it deals in exclusives.
Bethesda has a custom launcher for Quake so yea, they are likely trying to move away from Steam as well.
My point exactly, yeah. They’re probably just waiting for Elder Scrolls 6 or something equally massive to come along before they “officially” announce their move away from Steam, since Quake Champions is only “so” big, after all.
“then I’m betting Bethesda is definitely looking to get away from Steam, as well.”
uuuummmm maybe thats why they have there own launcher……. and put games on it…. duh, of course there gonna do it once there launcher isnt complete garbage. it was a pain to play the new crappy quake beta on it.
More like they’re going to do it once they have a release big enough to get away with it, much like EA used Battlefield 3 to launch their games onto Origin, ergo, Elder Scrolls 6.
None of these *ssholes, least of all ZeniMax-Bethesda gives a sh*t about quality, or user experience, or whatever-the-f*ck, they’re doing this for the money, period, & that’s exactly what’s going to dictate Bethesda’s switch; when can it be so big & so hard to pass up, that nobody will (or at least most people overwhelmingly won’t) object to adding yet another Launcher shortcut to their desktops?
Just when you thought FOV couldn’t go any lower. What is this, literally 40? Less than 40? My god. Consoles were a mistake.
Why hasn’t anyone or Bungie explained about the loot system? In Destiny 1, it was grindy as hell and the items tiers are random as fck. Remember those broken promises before D1 was launched?
