NVIDIA has released a new video, showcasing Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS 2 running in 4K on Ultra settings. This video was captured on a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 (not the newly announced GTX1080Ti). From the looks of it, this new racing game will be better optimized than its predecessor as NVIDIA’s GPU was able to run it in 4K with 60fps. Enjoy!

well…ain’t that pretty!
Now do the same on an RX490
That fat friend of mine who will buy next week gtx 1080 ti will be very happy to hear it!!
How fat is he?
a lot
Great!!!! I will enjoy this game with my single 1080 gtx
Damn you!!!
I’ll only be playing this on my single 1080 GT…oh
Does that mean Project Cars 2 is actually optimized this time around, or does it look worse (in detail) compared to the first game?
Certainly for Nvidia, but we all know how that turned out for AMD.
Maybe if AMD will be cooperate, it will be better than the first time. 🙂
I’m sure that’s the reason.
Game got optimized for AMD too a bit later on, but at launch it was a big mess indeed.
That’s great. But why the video is not in 4K but only 2K?
Wut? :v
I have only 1440px60 as max in options. Do you have 4K?
No, 1440/60 aswell, but don’t it require a compatible display?
I think I’ve read that somewhere (can’t confirm).
I have 4K display. So problem is somewhere else or there is no 4K version of this video.
I see, what browser you’re using?
Google Chrome
Humm… maybe they’ve “dun goofed” after all ¯_(?)_/¯
That’s a common misconception: you don’t need a 4K screen to select 4K quality on YT vids. Selecting 4K on 1440p or 1080p monitor just adds more bitrate to the vid, it’s like using supersampling, it makes it look better.
kinda funny how PC1 couldn’t run solid 60fps @ 4k on a gtx 1080
i am waiting for 2018 and volta
Honestly done waiting AMD taking forever with their next gen flagship
drive club still looks better
GTX 1080 4K60
GTX 1060 6GB 1440p60 or (GTX1070)
GTX 1050TI 1080p60 or (GTX1060 3GB)
Simple and for all games pls. 😀 😀 😀
It seems they haven’t changed textures. Still low-detailed and blurry. Also, that aliasing…
Take note ubisoft, Watchdogs 2 on launch was running at around 40fps on my 2 gtx 980ti cards and 6700K on 3440×1440 resolution. Terrible!
You got rekt by Ubisoft, not by a notion of inadequate hardware my friend.
Better optimized for nvidia gpus…
