Xboxdynasty has shared a video, showing 27 minutes of new gameplay footage from Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith and betrayal in a land soaked in the blood of civil war.
Players take the role of an American Sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders.
In Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, players can explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions.
The game is powered by CRYENGINE, and will let players customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is currently planned for an April 7th, 2017, release.
Enjoy!

Performance isn’t looking too great, as well as using a gamepad to aim a sniper rifle. I’m guessing the PC version will come out a mess. Game doesn’t really look like all that great visually in some spots. Like being inside that tunnel and how lit up it is, reminds me of last gen and poor lighting.
Also just noticed those water ripples at 19:26, where they keep repeating over and over in the exact same position and animation. If you’re trying to go for immersion, you’ve got to try a bit harder. I didn’t have to look hard at those ripples to notice the looping pattern (it goes for a near 3 second loop).
Hold on, are you saying…
They downgraded CryEngine?
AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Damn, how the hell did they manage to pull that one off.
I dunno lol, but it doesn’t look like anything that’s current gen as much.
The lighting and water all feel off and the frames in the general gameplay feel sluggish.
Could just be unresolved bugs that they may or may not end up addressing before launch, but either way, all things considered, it really doesn’t bode well, indeed.
For what it looks like, I dunno if those can be “fixed”. I mean most AAA games that we get shown before release, hardly end up looking miles better upon release.
My thoughts exactly.
FPS is alot better than it’s first gameplay video but still i can see drops in the new videos, textures are good, gun models are good, AI and graphics are not so much. it got better but still needs more work, well it’s AA title and there is still hope for it.
It also helps that it’s designed to run on current gen consoles, so in a way, we have been downgraded =P.
Well the last game got subpar visuals for cryengine. So this is nothing new.
Sometimes i get the feeling people are never satisfied. This is what phantom pain should have been. The bases are complex and large and it has a open world with interesting stuff to see. Lots of weapons and customization and shooting mechanics. I dont think this is last gen or has poor lighting considering how detailed the bases are and how large the maps are. Criticizing this when ubisoft has watch dogs 2 and ghost recon wildlands with worse graphics is kinda pointless. As for immersion, the atmosphere is something between stalker and second sight, really feels like you are in the wilderness and the shooting mechanics are pretty damn good by the looks of it. All of that from a small studio in Poland with low budget and lets not forget that this is alpha and with rain and wind like that the performance will be garbage. Personally i wait for patches before buying a game like its common sense.
I’ve noticed the way you’ve argued with others, in a way that you amount to anyone other opinion as “pointless” and a non argument for anything.
It looks last gen to me, it’s not running so great if you pay attention to the actual frames. The rain droplets run in a distinct 3 second pattern that repeats itself over and over, that to me is not next gen at all, I don’t care what planet you are from, but that type of visual isn’t revolutionary of amazing, it’s rather cheap and uninspired. I’ve seen better rain fx than SGW3’s.
The game doesn’t make me feel anywhere near immersed at all. I’ve found more immersion from other titles than this trailer.
Dunno what the last part has to do with anything I talked about. You can hype up the game all you want, but your opinion is your own, not an objective “i’m right, you’re wrong” kind of fact, lets nip that in the bud before that gets out of control.
Unlikely, if anything graphiics won’t look as good. CryEngine games normally run great.
I want an FPS game where 95% of it is you driving to where your single target is, you kill him and then the game ends.
That doesn’t sound bad.
How much does it cost, though.
That depends of how much road you want to cover.
I want a singleplayer FPS in which you land on Omaha Beach and get shot by an LMG five seconds after you disembark. Then, your story ends.
i want a space version of that.
I’ve played of arma missions like that.
Sounds way to much like work, but the target is myself.
Do we need to have played the other sniper games to understand the story? Also do we fight aliens mutants and ghosts in the game or only russian soldiers?
there’s no story
What do you mean? It is a fps open world it cant have a story.
random dude, random bad guys thats the story in the last 2 games.
– That’s not the bloke from Ghost Warrior 2, so most likely not.
– No, this isn’t Crysis.
– Russians might not necessarily be the main baddie. They’ll probably end up going with some weird generic Warlord &/or Dictator &/or Mercenary Boss Man figure, judging by the past entries. Also;
“The game takes place in modern-day with a series of conflicts between three hostile factions. A proxy war and a civil war in Georgia also begin. In order to prevent another Cold War from happening, players must take control of a retired American Marine named Jonathan North as he proceeds to Georgia to find and eliminate its
intruder, with whom he shares a dark past.”
As far as I know no – you do not to know the previous games. This is a completely different story line. I have played SGW 1. It was an OK game, at that time. I have tried SGW 2 but I didn’t like it. All I am saying is if you are not playing any game at the moment you might try the first part but I wouldn’t recommend playing the second part. SGW 3 is shaping up to be completely different than the predecessors
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Or this one: Throwing a frag grenade by the feet of 3 persons, one of them yell “GRENADE!” … non of them moves a muscle. Boom!
/Facepalm
Perhaps they where REALLY surprised.
They called your bluff.
That seems like the A.I. is way to advanced. Think about it, it got shot and it’s in pain, it knows it will be reborn at the next spawn point, so it euthanizes its self. Its self aware enough to know that it’s only escape is to bore you to death.
For me this gameplay looks very interesting. Mission at night is nice and I hope the weather and part of day will be random so we can play one mission at night and secondone on day with rain. This game promises to be very good and I will keep my eye on it.
I liked the gameplay as well but I have also thought that they would make a use of night vision equipment at night. The changing weather is definitely a cool thing and I hope it will influence your gameplapy. I mean it is easier to seek up on someone when it’s raining
I don’t like night vision in games. I know at it is more realistic bu when you have to use night-vision graphics look like sh**** to me. I am glad that CI Games decided to make the night a bit brighter
