While Electronic Arts aims to officially reveal some new gameplay footage for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 during its EA Play event, it appears that someone has already leaked 12 minutes of gameplay footage from it. Yeah, it seems like the game we should’ve had in the 1st place.
Well, considering they rushed out the first one to coincide with the movie as they figured even if it was sh*t, they’d make money off of it anyway, (which they sadly did), yeah, this is the game they should’ve made in the first place, but decided not to, because “moar muniez.”
Sadly regardless of what else, it’ll never stop being Star Wars: Battlefield, because DICE can’t generate an original thought to save their lives anymore.

If this game have the same Coin system like the last one then this is a BIG no buy for me.
As far as I know, you will have to play in a certain way in order to get hero coins.
For heroes its ok but not for vehicles.
I don’t know about vehicles. Hangars/bases storing them would be really cool, but I doubt DICE will be so ambitious.
Anyway, I think it’s where lots of immersion would come from. In the current state, walkers and fighters just spawning out of the blue kind of destroy it.

First Battlefront (I mean the new one) also had TPP. Yeah, it’s kinda bad. There should be separate TPP and FPP servers.

Or, alternatively, Battlefield 4 & EA’s Star Wars exclusivity deal with Disney. We did get those Easter Egg teasers back in BF4 for 2143, after all.
But seriously, you really want them to make a Battlefield 4/1 reskin out of 2143? I mean, that’s really all DICE can do these days, it seems.
Some folks from BF2142 have joined Ghost (NeedForSpeed) and therefore they would start with a new team at Dice. With the recent cringe from the futuristic Call of Dutys I think this makes things even worse to see EA working on such a title in the future… I’m ready for an other ten years of waiting ! I don’t mind !
BF2142 was already seen as a reskin/mod from BF2, and it was still superb so I am totally fine with this idea.
Doeskin look all too hot. Beautiful gfx and Starwars skin. Thats all i saw, nothing even remotely exciting.
That’s a warped sense of diversity for you, so common nowadays. Everyone is everywhere, no matter if it makes sense. Things get samey, vapid and hamfisted on top of that.
Not impressed whatsoever and while it looks improved from the first installment, it didn’t look like enough. The gameplay shows brain-dead fights , small maps, etc. It’s early so who knows….Maybe it gets better. But as of right now, I’m not hyped at all.

If it’s for multiplayer only that’s fine, as long as it’s not like that for the campaign!
I don’t see why. I, for one, care about authenticity in both the multiplayer and singleplayer mode.
funny how Battlefront 2 did everything right and it was just a game from a decade ago
