Here are ten minutes of new gameplay from Lost Soul Aside

At ChinaJoy 2023, UltiZeroGames presented a new gameplay demo for its upcoming action RPG, Lost Soul Aside, and below you can find a 10-minute video from it.

For those unaware, Lost Soul Aside started as an action Unreal Engine 4 indie game, inspired by Final Fantasy XV. The game’s protagonist was based on FFXV’s Noctis, and the game quickly got everyone’s attention. That was back in 2016.

Now, seven years afterward, Lost Soul Aside finally looks like a proper game. From what we know, UltiZeroGames is still using Unreal Engine 4 and has not moved on to Unreal Engine 5.

Unfortunately, the following gameplay footage is off-screen, meaning that it cannot give us a proper idea of the game’s graphics. Still, we can at least take a look at its gameplay and combat mechanics.

The last time we saw Lost Soul Aside was in November 2022. And, as you may have guessed, there is still no ETA on when the game will come out.

UltiZeroGames was planning to release Lost Soul Aside on PC, PS5 and PS4. Right now, I don’t know whether this will remain a cross-gen game. I also don’t know whether it will lanch simultaneously on PC and PS5.

Enjoy this latest gameplay video for Lost Soul Aside and stay tuned for more!

  1. What is this Chinese trash game that ((($oyny))) fangays are babbling about? You walk through a large empty area, clear out the enemies/boss, walk to another large empty area, clear out another enemies/boss, rinse and repeat till the end of the game. And no, don’t tell me now “but that’s only a part of the game! Not all of the game is like this!” because THAT’S WHAT ALL TRAILERS RELEASED ABOUT THIS GAME SO FAR HAVE SHOWN!

Really? This is the Chinese trash they’ve been anticipating for 7 years? I feel sorry for these brain dead subhumans and their utter $h!t taste.

    1. ”You walk through a large empty area, clear out the enemies/boss, walk to another large empty area, clear out another enemies/boss, rinse and repeat till the end of the game.” you just described every action game ever made.

        1. What is emptiness to you? Because games like Nier:Automata, DMC, Bayonetta and GoW can probably be labelled as such since most of these games doesn’t really have you exploring vibrant cities with tons of NPCs wandering about their lives. Nor do most of these games allow you to interact with environments besides opening chests or looting corpses of enemies you’ve slayed or whatever.

This game right here is utilising the same exact formula we’re used to seeing and it seems to be doing a good job at it so far. Hopefully it’ll stand out in the market rather than feeling like a carbon copy of something else.

    2. Isn’t that like most hack and slash games since the dawn of time? They always consist of you going from room-to-room killing off waves of enemies till the next section opens up. And then you have hack and slash games that are open world which has you roaming empty plains like NieR:Automata. I think you’re hating on the game simply because it’s Chinese made and you have some kind of stigma towards that country as a whole.

If you actually take the time to notice the game has come a long way since it’s initial reveal and appears to be getting better and better with each passing year. Say what you want but I’m already seeing the golden era approaching the Chinese entertainment industries and I truly believe they’ll be leading the way in a couple of years time if they play their cards right. They’ve already signed partnership deals with numerous reputable Japanese developers and are fully funding their next projects whilst allowing them to have total creative freedom. So it’ll be interesting to see what comes out of that.

      1. Sounds like a ching chong shill here.

        Remember

        Code to Jin Yong?
        Black Myth Wukong?
        Where Winds Meet?

It’s been AGES since these Chinese trashes were announced and STILL have no release dates. Keep shilling, you dunce.

        1. Never heard of Code: To Jin Yong till now and you’re acting like as if the West or Japan does not announce tons of projects years and sometimes a decade before their release (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last Guardian).

The AAA industry in China is not even a real thing yet unless you’re willing to count all the MMOs/online multiplayer focused games they’ve made in the past. Just like when gaming was first formed they have to go through a series of trial and error before they’re able to figure it out. Wukong has been delayed till next year and they’ve been sharing quite a few things within the last 12 months to show off their current development at the time. But obviously people like you are never grateful for anything and feel the need to complain about something every once in a while.

And that’s fine. I’ll keep shilling for the Chinese whilst you continue on to support all the degeneracy going on in the West. Western games continue to descend to a new low but it seems like you’ll always remain a supporter no matter what which to me sounds like a literal definition of a shill.

          1. I don’t support Western f4ggotry, in fact, the pathetic Western “gaming” degenerate industry nowadays couldn’t just crash and burn fast enough, there’s only SOME Japanese games nowadays worth playing (NOT ALL OF THEM BECAUSE SOME OF THEM ARE JUST AS POZZED AS THE F4GGOT WESTERN GAYMES!). What’s a good Western game released in 2023? I don’t remember either.

          2. Doesn’t it get exhausting running around all angry and hateful 24/7/365 ????

Don’t you ever get tired of being miserable all the time?

          3. Oh look, we’ve got a tr4nny cawksucker here!

I’m not angry or hateful, in fact, I’m a happy person despite all the difficulties in my life (we all have our own difficulties), you tr4nnies are the snowflakes who call anything and everything “hate” as long as its not a 1:1 carbon copy of your artificial religion.

          4. The way I see it: any country that’s favouring the West in the current political climate we’re in are set to fall in same trap eventually. We’re already seeing some of those effects playing out in the Japanese industry. And the only reason we’re not seeing a whole lot of quality products from Japan in recent years is because companies like Sony has stripped away their ability to do so. It’s either play by their rules or don’t. Which is why I have high hope for the industry to grow beyond the Western world. I want to see more countries outside the US, EU and Japan becoming colossal players in this market too. Countries like China and Russia have great potential and go by their own rules rather than being another pawn for the US to continue influencing their backwards ideologies.

The only reason I support this is not because I’m anti-US but because I want the US to no longer be the sole dominant force on the planet in every aspect. Once they’re put in their place that’s when the industry and Western societies as a whole are put in check and can no longer enforce their nonsensical values onto others. And who knows, maybe then we’ll see them coming back to their senses by allowing full creative freedom here, but I’m not holding my breath since I have very little hope left for the West.

          5. True, the West should just crash and burn alongside every mentally ill troon with it
