Techland has released a new trailer for its upcoming action RPG, Hellraid, that focuses on the game’s features. Hellraid is described as a unique mix of melee, magic and ranged combat that can be played both in single-player and 2-4 player co-op. The game is powered by the Chrome 6 engine and will hit Steam Early this Autumn. The final build is now planned for a 2015 release. Enjoy!

i cant believe this started as a dead island dlc/mod, the visuals nail the theme perfectly, better than say skyrim and the combat looks quite good.
I think Skyrim’s combat was the only major weak point. It seemed a bit flat where you’re just swinging the weapon around. This game’s combat looks really responsive.

I really didnt get into skyrim, i sticked with new vegas instead but i am sure that this whole “Actionizaton” that goes in skyrim to make the game more action adventure and less skill based rpg is partly to blame for the meh combat.
Looks great. I would add, this is why mods are important. They allow innovation, and a plethora of ideas to emerge… What most devs glean from them is another story.

I really need to play Dark Messiah again, its on my list.
I was getting that kind of vibe with a bit of Skyrim.
That game barelly worked when it came to combat.

they announced Hellraid before DyingLight, and Hellraid is coming in 2015, does that mean Dyinglight is coming next year too ? anyway i’m looking forward to both of them

I really love these FPS game that have this horror kinda atmosphere with monsters, and swords and medieval weapon and magic based combat. But, the wait for this game is gonna be long until 2015…
