RPCS3 is the best emulator for Sony’s previous-gen console, the Playstation 3, and we’ve decided to share today some videos, showing Dante’s Inferno, God of War 3, Sly 3, P5 Persona, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting, Super Hero Generations and more running on its latest version.
Our last look on the RPCS3 was back in March and since then, the RPCS3 team has improved overall game compatibility, improved performance in a number of games, and addressed some graphical/visual glitches that occurred in specific games.
Now while this emulator is progressing at a great pace, it is still unable to run the games that most PC gamers would love to play at full speed. These games are, obviously, God of War 3, God of War: Ascension, Red Dead Redemption, Motorstorm, The Last of Us and the Uncharted series.
Still, we believe that some of our readers will find these videos interesting. After all, Sony, Naughty Dog and Atlus have no plans – at least for now – to release their games on the PC so emulation is the only alternative (well, aside from using PSNow) via which PC gamers can play them. Furthermore, it will be interesting to see whether there will be any 60fps hacks/patches for the triple-A PS3 games, similar to the one for Zelda: Breath of the Wild for CEMU, once they are fully emulated.

It’s Too bad Dantes inferno never got a PC release. Or, we’ll never get to see a sequel because this is EA. EA is where franchises goes to die I tell ya. So sad… They are basically A Fifa/Star Wars Company now.
Dante Inferno is great. I played it twice. First on original Xbox 360 when it was released and second one last last year – remastered edition in 4K on Xbox One X. Game is old but in native 4K looks great. Story is also amazing which is surprising in EA game.
Dante Inferno – real nice boss fight – 4K 60fps (Xbox One X)

There’s more piracy on console than on PC.
I wouldn’t bother with this moron. he’s a well known troll.
you forgot madden too.
Too bad RPCS3 is still limited to about 3-4 cores. In Gow Remaster it uses about 30%-40% of my 2600x
It isn’t. It scales well beyond that. However, it IS limited to one CCX on Ryzen if you have the internal thread scheduler option ticked. In some games it provides better performance due to the elimination of cross-CCX latency, but you can see a notable performance boost in others by disabling it (at least on the very latest version of Windows 10 – I haven’t tested with anything else). Persona 5, for example, runs a full 15-20% faster on my R5 2600 (at 4.15GHz) with internal thread scheduler disabled. The same goes for Tales of Vesperia. However, Red Dead Redemption is an example of a game that runs slower with it disabled, whilst John Woo’s Stranglehold is one that sees no difference either way.
I’ve tried with the thread scheduler on and off, but it makes no difference. I still can’t get 60Fps in Gow 1 and 2 remastered.
lol
Buy a Proper CPU and it will run Properly.
Honestly, God of War 3 is the peak of a hack n slash game. it pisses off me what have they done to Kratos in the latest God of War.
You mean made him a better character that anyone who is not 12 years old can relate to ?
gameplay-wise man
Don’t get me wrong, I loved the old style of gameplay. But the new one is awesome. Nothing to be disappointed about.
“Kratos Was Almost Cut from God Of War for Not Being Soy Enough”

???
I must give props to SONY to get on their senses and realized that it is better not to mess with their source of income.
God of war without kratos…it would had worse backlash than the dmc with emo Dante
“Better character” that’s subjective and I am talking about gameplay,
Agreed. GoW 4 is an S— J– -W– piece of poop.
Frame rates are terrible still.
But it has improved a lot.
I get 200fps in atelier totori 😀
lol nice
Beggars gonna beg 🙂
We don’t care about your only source of income
I am wondering if your brain is full sack or what? who’s begging? it is about PC’s capabilities.
Shhh, enjoy the payable subpar ps2 emulation you get on ps4
PC Gamers don’t have to beg as the developers prefer the PC platform as the most important platform. Funny thing is that all the games that you just mentioned are only worth playing on a PC – unless you like checkerboard rendering at 1080p.

Demon’s Souls works great too.
The only reason I want a working PS3 emulator is to play Demon Souls. I’ve tried a few months back but it drops the fps to an unplayable state. Too bad it requires at least an i7 and I’m not planning on upgrading my CPU in the near future.
Amazing progress
One of the few games that interested me that has for PS3 and not for PC is Fifa Street 4, already runs almost perfect on RPCS3!!!

NCAA Football, and I’m there.
Still some work left but good to see progress. Some games now actually seem playable.
#1 goal should be to get MGS4 running at 4k stable 60fps.
We can now play Dantes Inferno on both PS2 and PS3. I call that a win.
