Microsoft has released a new gameplay video from the campaign mode of Gears of War 4. In this short gameplay demo of Gears of War 4, JD, Del, Kait and Marcus Fenix are in pursuit of creatures called the Swarm.
“With their village destroyed and Kait’s mom abducted, the squad gives chase through the wilds of Sera and must battle through an incredible storm.”
Gears of War 4 will be released on the PC on October 11th.

Gears of War was never good, and it’s not getting any better. All the scripted stuff looks good but the actual gameplay is mind-numbingly boring.
Two years ago I also thought that gears of war was boring and I didnt understand why so many people like that series. But it all changed when I bought xbox360 and tried playing gears of war 1-3. When I learned to play on gamepad, killing locusts became pure fun to me, and game was no longer boring at all. Since then I have completed gears of war series few times already, and I just love these games. IMO The best xbox games, and I’m so hyped for gears of war 4, must have for me.
My friend, I’ve played through Gears of War 3 on my Xbox 360 – still don’t get why anyone likes the series. The controls are terribly sluggish (and that in the third entry of a series!), the active reload gimmick feels imprecise (visual bar representation is not accurate to the real timing, or it’s just general input lag), there’s constant interruptions for “look over there” cutscenes, constant, annoying NPC chatter and so many more problems. The spread is random so you can’t play the game skillfully, you just have to waste tons of ammo or risk going in for close combat. The game very transparently spawns enemies in as you advance so you’re always doing the awkward “advance to spawn enemies, then retreat for a better fighting position” dance (I played on the highest difficulty of course).

Legendary gameplay? I like gears but even i admit that its pretty generic 3rd person shooting. Take cover, shoot bad guy, say overly aggressive one liner. Lather rinse repeat

Metal gear solid and splinter cell did really as well as a few others before gears.
But those were stealth. Gears is action. I think. Never played it.

What do you expect? Its really amazing how devs are polishing games to run on peasants hardware. Im kinda shock actually that this game is running on xbox.
Would die to see this dedication on pc ports and not brute force everything.

Bores of grey-brown 4: Freshly minted blue hue strikes sideways.
Tried first installment but couldn’t bear the juiced freaks trying to pretend they were human and their over-the-top macho bullsheet.
Don’t get me started on the “legendary” gameplay.
I had much more fun with Battlechess in 1991.
The gameplay looks really boring and the world looks like it were taken straight out of Guild Wars 2.

Speek for yourself. If gears of war would be so bad, as your comment suggest, than very few peeople would like gears of war series and game would sell very badly. But it’s just the opossite, many people love these games.
