Gameplay footage surfaces from People Can Fly’s cancelled horror action-adventure, Come Midnight

Adrian Chmielarz, co-founder of People Can Fly, has shared some gameplay footage from their cancelled horror action-adventure game, Come Midnight. According to Chmielarz, Come Midnight was a action-adventure pulp that mixed the worlds of Raymond Chandler and H.P. Lovecraft.

The game’s story was about a private detective able to communicate with the dead. Below you can find an overview of the game.

Come Midnight game overview

Come Midnight was in development in 2005-2006. Moreover, People Can Fly was planning to use the following demo in order to show its development progress to THQ. So yeah, keep in mind that while watching it. Obviously the game now looks dated, however, in 2005 Chmielarz claimed that it looked fantastic.

Again, this is an internal demo, and People Can Fly was never planning to release it to the public. Thus, everything is janky, buggy, unfinished, full of placeholders, and highly unpolished.

  1. It Reminds me an episode from X-Files : “Home” when Mulder & Skully face the Family
Peacock!! Very Nice Game Though !!

  2. you know whats sad? That despite its mediocre an action fest and scripted to death, it looks more interesting than outlanders,

    Now thats just sad.

    1. they released this so that people search their trash studio and games because their new game is struggling to get some attention which is the result of them having low iq to make such boring and generic trash.
      can’t get sadder than this.

      1. the person who released it is not part of the studio anymore you idiot he hasnt been since 2014-2015

  3. Actually looks very dark, and interesting…would’ve been a good game to play if released back then.

  4. they released this on purpose so that people search their shetty studio and games, seems to me their new game is struggling. low iq devs making generic trash games and then doing this, absolutely pathetic.

  5. So if this was greenlit, then we would’ve got it on 2007, I suppose?
For a 2005 WiP game demo, this looks really good.
And they would’ve polished it even further for its final release.
