Outcast A New Beginning feature-2

Gameplay Deep Dive Trailer for Outcast – A New Beginning

THQ Nordic has released a gameplay deep dive trailer for Outcast – A New Beginning. This new trailer highlights the key gameplay features of this upcoming third-person action adventure game.

In Outcast – A New Beginning, players will once again assume the role of Cutter Slade. After a brief tutorial, it is up to you to decide what to do next, and you’ll be free to explore the planet at your own pace.

THQ Nordic will release Outcast – A New Beginning on PC on March 15th. However, I am a bit worried about its PC version.

You see, the PC demo that THQ Nordic released back in February 2024 suffered from major stuttering issues. The devs have not updated us on this, so we don’t know whether or not they’ll fix them. As I wrote in my previous article, these aren’t shader compilation stutters. Instead, we’re talking about traversal stutters. And believe me, these traversal stutters can be really annoying in this game.

We’ll be sure to test the final version once it comes out, and let you know about the launch state of the PC version. You can also find here the game’s official PC system requirements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Love the enviroments and i think this will be a great selling point. The open enviroment is full of atmosphere and can give this game a pretty good vibe.
I love these 3rd person adventure games and imho there arent enough of them. Outcast 2 will have a big competition vs Horizon Forbidden West in terms of the enviroment but still… i think Outcast 2 is the one my interest goes out to in terms of world exploration.

  2. This looks interesting, and love the world they’ve created. I’m actually looking forward to playing it, hope it’s not a technical mess.

  3. It’s rough around the edges…….but it’s these AA games that hold my interest way more than the bloatfest of AAAA games.
Gives me HZD vibes without the ridiculous costumes, robot dinosaurs and Aloy.
6 months down the line hopefully most of the bugs and performance issues reported by the free early beta tester consumers will be fixed.
