Sony has released the first gameplay trailer for Nioh 2. Nioh 2 is being developed by Team Ninja and will be published by KOEI Tecmo, and from the looks of it a closed beta phase is currently planned for PS4. KOEI Tecmo has not confirmed the platforms for which Nioh 2 will release, so we might see it hitting the PC (like its predecessor did).
This first gameplay trailer for Nioh 2 will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. As we can see, the game feels similar to the first Nioh game visually. Moreover, it appears to retain its “Dark Souls” gameplay difficulty and style, something that will please its fans.
Unfortunately, KOEI Tecmo has not revealed any details at all for Nioh 2 so we don’t have anything more to share. Here is hoping that the game will find its way on the PC (as the first Nioh game, in its current state, feels and plays great on the PC even with mouse and keyboard).
Stay tuned for more!

Will this one have actual m+k support?
All i need is an uncapped framerate. No way after Sekiro am I playing these Dark Souls like games at 60fps.
We can expect next gen onimusha games look like this but with slower pace gameplay…
no
Yes
no
I could never get over the art style to play the first one
Same here, i dislike asian style.
Also all their monsters, demons, spirits look cutesy.
It says Alpha Demo only on Playstation 4. That pretty much confirms the game is coming to PC as far as I am concerned. Also Sony is not publishing Nioh 2 like they did Nioh 1 and Nioh 1 still ended up coming to PC despite that. Nioh 2 is definitely coming to PC but the real question is if its coming simultaneously as the PS4 version or later like Nioh 1.
first one any good? is it like sekiro or dark souls?
I thought it was just O.K. It’s more like Dark Souls than Sekiro.
The visuals are very muddy and some of the effects can be confusing and make the enemies hard to read. Wasn’t my cup of tea, despite being a huge Souls/Sekiro fan.
Yes & Yes.
It’s like Dark Souls if Dark Souls had cutscenes, dialog, a follow-able story, camera mode, better graphics, better movement, exponentially more complex game mechanics, and was ported correctly. The game has various different stances for your weapon – light medium and heavy – as well as different “abilities” that you learn, plus stealth, etc. etc. Plus there are usable items to do magic and all kinds of stuff idk, It’s honestly a chore to play, it’s not like their other games like Ninja Gaiden where each weapon has a move-set and then there’s also a standard moveset. The combat is fun but it’s a bit more involved than it needs to be.
Yeah, it’s really good. It’s like Onimusha + Dark Souls. The variety of weapons + stances are what made it exceptional. It’s Team Ninja after all. They’re the best at making fast paced action games in the industry
Sony only published the first game outside Japan so it could get a worldwide release.
Kekmo published it in Japan and retains the rights to the IP.
So yeah, it’s their sole choice and if the first did come out to PC eventually , this one will make it’s way as well
Not like Sony cares since they’ve pretty much stopped investing in Japanese products and only invest in cinematic interactive movie garbage.
The first game ported to PC like a year later with a superior version so why wouldn’t 2? Koei Tecmo doesn’t usually play that dumb console exclusive game anymore, except with their old games like Ninja Gaiden and DoA 1 – 4.
I Really hope that cave area isn’t the exact same fcking cave from the first game. Nioh had an astounding lack of variety in its environments, sending you to the same map over and over and over and over for missions. Reusing crap from the first game would be even worse.
Agree with you, the first one got repetitive and boring really fast. Did not care about the loot. Hope this one is better.
I only say that because it looked WAY TOO familiar.
